im guessing thats why they’re changing Ap physics B to a two year course starting next school year :(

Could be. However, I doubt I’m ever going to take it.

This is a bit off topic but I’m really tired today. I went to sleep at 2 and woke up at 8:45. I know that’s more sleep then I usually get but It’s because my mom was the one who woke me up. She likes to bang all the pots together in the kitchen, use the blender, and talk on speakerphone. It’s really annoying and it’s been like this every day for my break.
I’m just curious if anyone else’s house is like this… :/

@catchinginfinity

I’m in AP Human Geo. I catch myself falling asleep every class period. I expected really interesting culture practices and population study, but all we do Is make stupid maps and learn about really stupid stuff. We spent like 2 days on Religion and 1 day of language. Next semester is supposed or be more boring loll agriculture and politics

I’m taking AP European History and AP Biology this year, and I’m self studying AP Macroeconomics and AP Calculus AB.

Most of you already had experience with bio (freshmen science at my school is physical sciences), and AP Euro is like the honors in my school, cause if you don’t get into AP Euro, you’re automatically put into AP World.

@TeamRocketGrunt In that case, by all means self-study. Are you transferring next year? And yes, I’m a junior lol :P

@Pi12345 I know human geo is awful! I took it last year and 2nd semester gets so boring. But the good thing is the AP test is really easy! I got a 5 and I barely studied haha

@say5256- I know the feeling. Even on weekends my mom wakes me up at 9 because she says if I sleep later than 9, I waste the whole day. That is of course, if I don’t wake up before 9 because of my screaming brothers, television, etc.

@Jawmess/Pi - That’s exactly what I’ve heard about Human Geo…if I need more AP credits for whatever reason, I might just self-study that because apparently it’s really easy?

Those of you who went to school today, did you guys start scheduling for junior year yet? We started course selections today…this is my tentative schedule:

• AP Lang
• APUSH
• AP Calc AB (possibly; if I don’t have time to take a pre-calc class over the summer, my school might just make me take pre-calc)
• AP Physics
• Spanish IV Honors
• Some form of gym
• Band

I have 2 periods left and I’m deciding between AP Art History (just for the heck of it - not a history person, but I heard it was an easy AP), AP Micro (but the teacher is terrible…), APES, AP Bio, and AP Chem. My school also offers psychology, but not AP Psych, so another option is for me to take regular psych and and self-study for the AP exam.

Does anyone have any experience or advice with any of the classes above (and also calc)? I’m not really a science person - I’m better and more interested in math - but I think I’d rather take science classes over history/English electives.

I’m in AP chem right now, I would suggest not taking it. APES is pretty easy and interesting from what I’ve heard.

Should I take APUSH even if ti means a guaranteed B?

@BattleforLA
Why is APUSH a guaranteed B?

every teacher but one is crazy hard

@BattleforLA What are you other options for AP classes? What are you planning to do in the future, career wise? If you’re going into engineering or something, there’s really no point, but the same can’t be said for polisci or the like.

I have no idea what to do in my career. I have though about business, sports broadcasting, research, team doctor, regular doctor, engineering, and law. And I really have no idea what my 4th AP will be.

So far, what does your schedule look like for next year?

AP Calc AB/AP Calc BC
AP Biology
AP Psychology
Regular English
Honors/AP US History
Either an AP for 6th class/TA/Art Class

Most likely my schedule is going to be:
AP English Lang.
AP World History
AP Calc. BC
AP Bio. (double period)
Honors Chemistry
Programming 3 (I’m taking AP now, which is considered level 2 at my school)

I’m not real excited for programming as usually my whole class is sorta behind my level, so I honestly don’t learn that much. Though if I take it my teacher hooks us up with internships, so yeah. :D

@Battle - Why wouldn’t you recommend chem?

@Cornball - Have you taken pre-calc/AB or are you just jumping to BC?

Wow, at my school, we haven’t even started planning schedules for next year… that usually begins in April or May or something, haha.
