Giving a speech tomorrow, I hope I don’t awkwardly forget my lines in the middle of it. I get to use an index card, but I prefer just maintaining eye contact the entire time; I find it easier for whatever reason.

@gbrl10 - I hate teachers like that. Like, your goal as a teacher is to teach us the information so we perform well on tests, not to make them impossibly hard so most of the class fails/weed out the minority who memorize every single line of the textbook.

@apandia - I loved the ending of that episode. I am SHERlocked…har har har. Most of it was because of Irene though, I will admit. (Is it bad that I kind of ship them together…?) There weren’t really any women who had major roles (unless you count Mrs. Hudson) before that episode, and it was nice having a female who could match Sherlock’s intelligence for a change. So many feels ksdjflskdjf.

Apologies if you’re a guy because I’m fangirling over the prospect of BC in a relationship right now. :P

For the first time in many months, I’ve logged onto CC through my computer and noticed the major changes. I didn’t see them on my phone…how long has it been since the site was revamped?

@Foodlover001 they’re counting them now, the app doesn’t work on my phone either.

@catchinginfinity how was your speech? My favorite line was in the finale,

John: Has everyone I met a PSYCHOPATH?!?!?
Sherlock: Yes.

Sherlock used the girl in the end, but she said she knew it so I don’t know whether or not he did outsmart her.
I have no problem with fangirling lol, I was completely obsessed with the show back in Season 2, BC in a relationship would be a colossal mess. :)

@apandia: sorry, I didn’t get a chance to reply to your post about improving PF skills before today. Been kind of busy, so I’ve only had time to post really quick things.

Now, to actually improve your skills…uh, I really don’t know a concrete way. I just kind of jumped in and did it. I would suggest, though, that you talk to the judges/your opponents after the debate (after they’ve announced the winners) and get some feedback. For example, in the last round my partner and I did in the previous debate, it was obvious that we’d lost. The judge later talked to us about it, and she gave us tips on how we could improve next time. While she did give us some helpful advice, she basically stated the reason the other team one is because they used “unbiased news sources.” However, she also said that I should be the second speaker since I think more quickly on my feet, and my partner does better with prepared speeches; next time, I’m planning to go second to try it out. So just listen to advice and try it out the next time you debate; although, keep in mind that if you’re asking opposing teams for advice, they may give you bad suggestions just to screw you over.

//
I currently have an F in AP Bio on account of my missing several assignments. I plan to make them up and turn them in on Monday (should have a 99 average after that :D), but I’m still kind of antsy about having an F on my progress report.

@apandia - It was alright. Kind of paused in the middle of it because I forgot what to say, but it wasn’t for that long, so I guess I’m good.

Haha that scene. I feel like John is so confused and helpless 4/5 of the time.

@TeamRocketGrunt - I’m not great at writing anything these days, but I remember that the satire-like story you wrote on here after the PSAT was pretty good. :P

Hey guys! Uhg I am so mad. I thought I did really well on my spanish quiz and I got a 76%! I am so mad at myself because I need an A in it this semester and I’m not starting off well Spanish is by far my worst class but I thought the quiz was easy, although I guess not Sorry i just had to vent. Anyone have good methods for studying for language classes?

@jlh6612: I totally feel you with Spanish. I normally just have to really hunker down on vocan to make sure I know it, and then I like to look at a lot of grammar examples and try them out in various situations in order to make sure that I know them. Which Spanish are you in?

@TeamRocketGrunt: I’ve never tried satire, but it seems fun… ;)

@observeraffect: Literally, EVERYONE here calls AP World WHAP. It makes life so much easier, IMHO, because AP World History is just far too long to say. WHAP is also so much more fun to say. And they offer one basic anatomy class here! The teacher SUCKS though, so it makes the class super painful.

Spent so much time looking up random essay stuff and watching the Olympics, but after my terrible week this week, I have to say I’m really enjoying this time doing nothing. I’m about to go do some SAT/PSAT studying though, to make some use of my day.

@almondjoy7 I’m in Spanish 3 how about you? It’s the worst when you think you did well on a test and it turns out that you didn’t I had a good feeling about it and studied for a long time so I’m still mad about the quiz!
