High school class of 2016

@gbrl10 ah well I’m sure you’ll do better next year with proper notes! what other events did you participate in?

@texanhowler is there any way you could take both? And I’d be happy if I only had 1:30 hours of homework in some of my classes… both calc and stats usually take over 2 hours each every day

@animefan1998 No I will have AP Economics as my Social Studies credit? I’m just worried that AP Bio will give me MUCH more work than APUSH! Especially, since they toned UP the AP Bio exam and toned DOWN the APUSH exam lol

@loltired both would be VERY difficult, because i currently have 4 AP’s along with honors Chem and Honors Pre-Calculus (which contains a half year of AP Cal AB practice, tough!!)

@texanhowler which 4 APs?
first half of AP calc AB is really easy honestly hahah, although calculus gets a bit worse as you get to integration, especially in BC calculus

@loltired I was also in astronomy, circuit lab, and compound machines.

Hey guys, any ideas where to find career internships for highschool students?

@ThePedestrian - A club in my school does job shadowing over spring break. What are you looking to intern for?

@catchinginfinity: I’ve taught myself really basic physics (motion in 2D), but I haven’t had any physics instruction outside of that. I should teach myself more physics…

@loltired The 4 AP’s I’m considering for next year, are: AP Capstone, APUSH, AP Econ and most likely AP Bio, unless I replace Bio with AP STAT? Any thoughts?

@texanhowler you should take both APUSH and AP Bio, I don’t think it would be too much homework. APUSH is notorious for identifiers or something at my school that take forever and bio is just a lot of vocab and memorization. I’m not sure about the AP Capstone workload though

When do your schools send out course request forms? I’ve been getting anxious waiting for mine which we get after spring break.

@observeraffect My school does individual academic conferences to select junior year courses.

@anonemuss When in the year does your school do this?

My course reg. packet is due TOMORROW! SO MUCH ANXIETY? AP Bio or APUSH? Any tips?

You still haven’t picked one!? Which one do you actually WANT to do, NOT just because it’s more rigorous?

I want to do AP Bio! I like it and in normal Bio, I have a A+. I am good at memorization. But at our school, it is widely known to be the hardest AP and 1 hr of HW EVERY night. I’ll be taking 3 other AP’s.

@observeraffect Starting Feb 24th until the end of May

@texanhowler - Take AP Bio; since you like it, you’ll be more likely to dedicate time to it. An hour of homework each night isn’t really that bad.

Is this a good schedule(mit hopeful)?
AP Lang(i think; my school offers regular gifted LA)
APUSH
AP Physics I
Spanish 3(online)
Chorus
Peer Leading
Gifted(if i do well this semester) Precalc

Looks fine, MusicMan. And @texanhowler, an hour of HW in one class takes about a week or two to integrate it into your routine.

@texanhowler
Just do AP Bio. Since you like it, the homework shouldn’t be so bad to you
