<p>You are indeed correct comp sci =/= programming. I do this stuff mostly as an EC, I go to competitions and get the certifications etc. besides what I have learned in AP Comp Sci, i dont know anything about coding.</p>
<p>astrophysicist probably is not a good profession period: you do not get a regular salary, instead you live off of whatever achievements you can do, while working another job.
This is of course unless you land a job with NASA, which has actually had its budget reduced every year since Obama has been elected (nothing against the guy).</p>
<p>How you guys don’t like APWH, I will never understand. Probably my favorite class ever other than World Hist 1.</p>
<p>As far as my career plans go, I’d like to be a management consultant and then do marketing with a tech firm like Google, Facebook, etc</p>

<p>Is anyone familiar with the postal system? My counselor sent a transcript to a program on March 6th but they still haven’t received it yet. (I live around 45 miles from the place that it’s supposed to be sent to…so I assumed that it would get there within two days because it’s so close?) When should I start getting worried that they’re not going to receive it? They have to get it by March 20th, which is in 8 days. Akdfjsldkfjs</p>
<p>@catchinginfinity - It certainly won’t take 8 days - it’ll get their before; worst case scenario, resend it – or, is physically driving it over there a possibility? My Dad was a mailman – he said that it should take 2-3 days (not including Sundays, of course.) No worries. </p>
<p>So happy today. In my AP World History I just got a 100%, 8 on both essays (COT and DBQ) and 100% on multiple choice. AND I also got a 100% on my “Farewell to Manzanar” test in English Honors II. </p>
<p>Only one other person in my APW did the same, and she sits right behind me, and we are the only ones in that row (suspicious 8-8) and I was the ONLY one to get a 100% on the English test. </p>
<p>I am elated.</p>
<p>@preamble1776 - It has to be an official transcript sent directly by the school (although I don’t know how they would know the counselor went to the post office and sent it?) /: Argh. I remember in 9th grade, I asked my counselor to send a form for hospital volunteering, and the hospital never received it lol. Good thing I ended up deciding that I didn’t want to do it anyway. But I actually really want and need to do this.

AP World tests in my school are insanely hard. I’ve only gotten 100 twice in two years, and one time was because of a curve.</p>
<p>My DBQ had 10 documents and it was the sim and diff of between india and japan 1600-1900. we had no previous learning of this except that we knew about the industrial revolutions.</p>
<p>It was soo hard. 40 minutes, i wrote 2 pages front and back and only fit in 1 additional doc and 3 pov. and amazingly, they both were accepted.</p>
<p>It was a past DBQ administered by the college board for the AP exam, I’ll see if I can link it.</p>
