@texanhowler If your school offers the AP Econs in two separate classes, I suggest taking just Macro and self studying for Micro. Both are insanely easy. This will take a little pressure of GPA, at least.

I can’t say if it’ll be manageable, because I don’t know your strengths. If you’re good at memorization, this will be fine. AP Bio is tons and tons of memorization.

@6alibah - Same, only I get surges of motivation for like 30 minutes lol. But I’ve been incapable of doing any work today. I really hope I get 100 on my spanish test tomorrow, it’s only a reading passage and listening comprehension so I don’t feel like studying would help that much anyway. :P

Oh, and I’m starting up a free ACT prep service for those of you who’re interested. The site will also include Calculus BC videos, SAT II Math II videos, and some other stuff. If you’d like to contribute/want something on the site, let me know. It’ll be free and whatnot so I can get community service credits

Hey guys… just wondering what activities did you guys do in summer after 9th grade and what are you planning on doing this summer after 10th grade year?

@College123college In 9th grade, I got an internship at my Uncle’s finance-related company. Learned some skills and took phone calls. This summer I hope to go to HOBY, but most of it will be taken up by an Orchestra tour (and family vacation) in Europe (and Australia), but I hope to get an internship in Australia. What about you?

@afroninja26 some adults just need to be ignored. This does make taking the test a little difficult, and this might also complicate your relationship when it comes to college applications.

My (racist) English teacher prevented me from taking AP Lit. Now I’ve got to decide whether to self study AP Lang or AP Lit. Ughhh.

@6alibah: I TOTALLY feel you on the laziness. My grades are slowly starting to slip as I’m getting tired of school. =P

@TeamRocketGrunt: I’m taking 6 APs next year and I am definitely ALL about the lazy life.

Also, sleep and lab work is definitely a wonderful combination. My life is just sleep and procrastination. Your lab work will get you somewhere.

@SwaggyC: My lack of ECs is freaking me out too =P

@College123college: I’m not stellar or anything, but I went to a debate camp and volunteered at a hospital for 40 hours. Use this summer to do something fun and something you actually enjoy versus freaking out about college right now.

@Woandering: That sucks your English teacher is preventing you from taking a class. I’m so lucky that I have an amazing English teacher this year.

//

I am SO GLAD this horrid week is over. I have to go take a WHAP practice AP exam tomorrow, but at least my week of death is just done.

What if the entire class of 2016 around the world just refused to attend any college, as some sort of strike? It’s impossible to organize, but imagine that. What could we ask for, and what would colleges give?

@cornball tbh I’m just doing what I love, taking the classes in interested in, and trying my best at everything. I’m only a sophomore, so I’m only partly through the admissions process, but everybody else says to do what you love and it seems like it makes sense
