High school class of 2016

@Woandering‌
I’m going for a 3 in chem though. Generally it is 80%+ for a 5.

@SwaggyC Woah woah woah. Generally? 80% for a 5? Like for most tests as long as we get above 80% we get a 5? Seriously.

@Woandering‌ I think so. I need that 40% for chem!

@SwaggyC Good luck, good luck. Is Chem super hard? I’m planning to take Senior year. That or AP Physics Mechanics.

@Woandering‌ My teacher sucks so much and I stopped caring, so that’s not a good combo. If you have an interest in chemistry and get a decent teacher you should be fine.

@SwaggyC Quick question, is it more on the math side or memorization side, or general concept side? or what mixture of them?

@Woandering It’s more about general concepts and being able to apply them.

@SwaggyC Cool, sounds easier than AP Bio, at least.

“easier than AP Bio”

LOL chem is notoriously hard. Bio is, more or less, a joke.

I’ve basically set myself up for failure in the AP Cal BC exam; I doubt I’m going to get a 4 or higher. These past few months haven’t been the best for me, mental health wise, and, as such, I’ve screwed up quite a bit. Do you guys think the more competitive colleges will take into account that my mental health was compromised, and that’s why my scores slipped? I’m really angry at myself right now.

@TeamRocketGrunt Why is Chem so hard? If it’s just knowing the principles and applying them, it sounds easier than mass memorizing a bunch of facts.

For your AP, can’t you just cancel it for this year? Whether colleges will take it into account will depend on how you explain yourself, and that’s if you want to spend a valuable essay talking about your Sophomore mental health to explain one test score.

@woandering
At my school the entire science department for AP is notorious. Even the honors classes have low averages.

@SwaggyC But content wise, would Chem be a little easier than Bio for a guy not so good at mass memorizing stuff, but with a more logical flow of thought?

Hey guys. I have too many APs on my mind right now and just feel like collapsing. I want to get my mind off of them right now so I want to ask a question: What is your #1 choice college right now? I’m just curious bc I know some of you already started your research and I know by the time we’re seniors they may have changed, but I don’t care, tell me…I’m very curious to know. :-/ :-/

I. Hate. EOCTS.

Rejected from TASS.

Fun. Fun. Fun.

Looking forward to the weekend.

@PoisonIvy20 I’m looking at NYU right now hbu?

Thoughts on my ACT scores? I just took this a week ago for the first time. How much do you guys think I can improve by?

If this doesn’t work: UCLA

.

@PoisonIvy20‌ I freaking love Claremont McKenna right now. Planning to visit at the start of summer, but from what I’ve heard and seen online, it looks great, and I love its academic programs.

Tips for improving reading on the SAT? Both reading and writing are at around 700, (W700 R710). Luckily math is no problem (800). Also, what SAT IIs are people taking?

@Woandering: I haven’t taking AP Bio so I wouldn’t know but I guess if your more into application AP Chem is easier.
