High school class of 2016

@alzhao‌

To be honest, Northeastern snowdays are the greatest. People in the South and West have no clue how great it is, especially in the more rural areas of the Northeast.

Last day of school, June 26th, BUT Last day of classes June 16th!

@Apollo11 You couldnt be more right. I long for the days of 3-6 feet of snow and hope my school is on the “Closed” list when announced on the news.

Snow days are just the best, and I don’t mind the late school since we don’t really do anything once we hit June.

Also, to everyone else, here’s a song that I’ve been listening to recently:
<a href=“Work REMIX (Explicit) - YouTube”>Work REMIX (Explicit) - YouTube;

A$AP+Debate = Domination

NICE AP CHEM 90.03%
WOOOOOOOOOO

92.9 in Spanish

need 92.5 to get a 4.0

Lol I got 90.96 in Spanish 3. I’m assuming you guys use the ± system

You’re so lucky that a 90 is A! My county’s system 92.5-100 is an A. Although they’re changing it to 90-92 is an A- in the next couple of years. I would like that except it’s an A- so it’s like a 90-92 would get you a 3.8 and a 93-100 is a 4.0. I guess it’s better than getting a B anyway (all my Bs are 90-92).

With the teachers at our school I don’t think that grading scale would work too well. I’m now out of school and I’m bored.

Seriously. 94-100 is an A here. This sucks, I have 93s in a few.

In my district, 93+ is an A.

93s-100s are As, no A+.

Some teachers are nice with the rounding, but it still doesn’t matter since the final grade is the only one going into my GPA. Hence, I have a C in Spanish for the 3rd Quarter, but I’ll get an A as the final grade.

What’s the consensus for top colleges regarding how many years of language that we should take? We have a crappy teacher for AP Spanish and I’m thinking about not taking it next year.

@LikeThis I’m in the same boat as you. I think 3 is enough.

It feels nice to have summer here.

It’s hell in socal…especially with a broken air conditioner

@SwaggyC - A broken air conditioner could only make hell worse… I’m sorry for your loss.

High school languages where I live is the biggest joke. Counselors pressure you to take the language where you’ll get the A or you’ve been in a while, rather than one you want, and the classes, such as Spanish 1-5, don’t prepare you at all for the level of AP Spanish unless you have outside and/or prior education

Nevertheless, I think top colleges would like to see a continuity in language learning. If you’re doing a random language for 2-3 years, it doesn’t look like you’ll actually learn the language.

lucky ppl who are out of school… im still dying over finals

Broke my feelz:
