@evan241 Most of the top colleges will look at all your test scores and determine whether to admit you, NOT based on whether you meet the minimum requirements, but just how good the scores seem. Just because Imperial has a min SAT score of 1900 doesn’t mean you’ll get in if you have 1900 and all 5s for A list APs.

Has anyone on here seen Mockingjay Part 1 yet? I went with with six of my friends last night, and it was fantastic. But the ending…well…not risking spoilers.

@ThatPurpleKoala Ugh I really want to but SAT coming up in December + a whole bunch of homework due just before Thanksgiving.

@Woandering that stinks maybe over Christmas you’ll have a chance. But it was pretty good, though I personally preferred Catching Fire.

Fudge… I have an AP Calc test today and I forgot. Woops.

@tacoperson123 Wait what? You don’t have this week off?

I only have half of this week off.

class of 2016 are year is going to come by fast like if your class of 2016

*our

I am so sorry.

But yeah, this year feels like it’s going by really fast. We’ll be at the end of the year before we know it. Which is a scary thought.

Today is my last day, and then I have the rest of the week off.

Same. I can’t wait until Thanksgiving. I like food so much.

Welp SAT scores came back today, and I bombed the math section…

Sigh. I don’t know what happened to me in math…
800 Critical Reading
720 Math
750 Writing (9 Essay, did not practice a single essay before this lol)

What did you guys get?

@ZucchiniSoup That’s still pretty good though!
760 CR
680 M
730 W (10 on essay)
Yeah I thought math would’ve been the easiest 800

650 CR
620 M
610 W

Is this likely to increase dramatically over the next 2-3 times in the coming year, if I actually study for longer then a week before the exam?

@Bulldog97 I’d say as long as you’re motivated to increase your score and maintain your studying, you can definitely raise your score dramatically. The key is staying motivated though…

@alzhao
That was basically the reason I did not really study. My mom pushed me to take it my first junior semester and it I just prioritized my academic classes instead.

Apparently the November SAT had an ACT style essay prompt. Can any of you November SAT test takers comment on this?

SAT essays are so much easier to BS lol. I hate ACT essay prompts.

I took a practice SAT the other day, and it bothered me that the Blue Book doesn’t have a definitive scaling chart. Like, it only gives you score ranges rather than an actual score.

@Woandering I’m not really sure where the Collegeboard stands on sharing essay prompts after scores are released but the prompt I was given was almost identical to one of the prompts in the Blue Book, except worded differently. I got really lucky because I had just written a practice essay the night before the exam and it happened to be the actual prompt. However, I have never looked at an ACT essay so I’m not really sure how similar it was in comparison to an ACT prompt. One of my friends said that he got a reading section that looked a lot like an ACT reading section though

@TeamRocketGrunt That really bothered me too…I ended up just taking the average for each range, but then some of my scores came out with a 5 at the end (like 2295).
