No college will kick you out for dropping from a 97 average to a 92 average.
However, dropping from a 97 to a 72 is a different story.

So anxious for the June 6th SAT scores that’ll be released tomorrow in the AM
I somehow woke up exactly at 5 to check.
^was waking up every hour to check but it waa worth it
Haha I also woke up at 3 to check I need to chill.
760 on my ush test…idk how I feel about this
^same. At this point, the fact that Im in the 700s is incredibly fine with me
I got a 2120 which was my goal of a 2100+ and my ACT equivalent…But I’m still not sure if I want to retake or not. The curves were harsh. This has to be one of the harshest math curves ever but it’s understandable I guess. I would have scored better had it been one of the normal curves.
@Chrysanthemum14 Was this your 2nd time taking it? :o
@Ahnissa
Yep, got a 1900 with no prep last time.
@Chrysanthemum14 Ah I did pretty bad even for my first time I think you should only retake if you’re reaching for those really prestigious schools or your other stats aren’t great (which I doubt they’re bad). However, if you find that it wouldn’t hurt to retake then you should go for it.
Btw, how did you raise your score?
Is a 700 on the literature subject test okay if I am looking at top schools for Business? I already got an 800 on CR and an 800 in Math2, 760 in USH.
Hey all! Haven’t been around in a while. Hope everyone is doing okay.
Kinda bummed out my SAT 2 score- got a 760 in Math 2. Considering I’m a math tutor, that’s not that great. Yet at the same time, I was pretty done with school, haha. Any thoughts on whether or not I should retake?
@Ahnissa Oddly enough it was mostly my ACT prep? Especially on the Reading section I made a method that worked for me. Since the ACT Reading section generally is faster than SAT CR sections I had to learn how to go much quicker yet still being able to understand and digest the passages. I used this method on CR and I was finishing passages pretty quickly. I didn’t like Erica Meltzer’s CR tips. But I did like some of her vocab tips, especially the ones about root words. I practiced root words and dissecting words until I was confident enough. It definitely helped me on this exam.
For Writing I just went over a bunch of the rules on Meltzer’s blog a bunch of times and used it to practice. And when I was going over my Blue Book tests I would try to remember rules so I could figure it why I got it right or wrong.
Math is my strongest subject so I didn’t think I needed that much prep on it. Just went over the basics in the Blue Book. Unfortunatley I got a 710 on it because of the harsh curve. I most likely only got 3 wrong on that section could have been a 730+
@Chrysanthemum14 Thank you so much for the tips!
I recommend buying specialty books. The black book helped me raise my CR score 130 points from the first time. The pwn the sat book helped be raise my math score 50 points from my first as well. This is my second time.
My Lit score was way better than I thought it would be, Math 1 is ok/just barely submittable and US was awful but I expected it. No clue whether I’m retaking subjects or the actual SAT in October.
Page 800! Do you think we will reach 1000? Class of 2015 is at 971.
Yeah I bet we will.
Was the math curve really that bad? My friend said -3 was about a 710, which is the exact same curve the January SAT had. Not lenient, but not bad, either.
How were the CR/writing curves? Kind of glad I canceled now.
