High school class of 2016

SAT I WAS SO EASY THANK YOU SAT GODS

^I was thinking that too but Im not complaining. Maybe they wanted to make up for June

Math 2 was pretty easy. I should’ve canceled lit when I had the chance though.

I thought the SAT was pretty easy…except one of my sections which was hard enough to almost make me cry because of the time. (I hope that’s the one they don’t score because that was brutal.)

im freaking out cause i don’t have my college essay ready? anyone have their’s finished?

@cooldude1098 I finished all 3 of my ApplyTexas (Texas public universities) ones. I still have to edit my common app one some more and do my MIT responses though.

Submitted 6/12 apps so far :-j

@cooldude1098 I haven’t started my essays and I was planning to do EA lol

@LordBendtner Neither have I. Someone please force me to write my essays!

I know it’s early but there is no C/o 2016 acceptance thread? I know it is early but people are usually on top of this stuff!

@jdschooled5 I thought people agreed on not making a thread because it could put others down? If I remember that correctly couple months ago

@Ngzk07 We agreed not to make a thread with all of the colleges we’re applying to. A lot of people in CC in general aren’t as encouraging as those active in this thread.

Well whoever gets into a college first can make it I suppose.

@Woandering in that case, that’d be me, haha. Rolling admissions at Texas A&M and I’m an automatic admit.

$1300+ dollars for college app fees alone
$250+ for senior pictures
$90 for yearbook and class tshirt
$150 for grad robes
~$500 for AP testing
$60 for SAT registration
I don’t even want to think about the cost of sending scores to schools.

Senior year is sucking my (or should I say my parents’) wallet dry.

Wow! @basedchem How many did you apply to?

And then +$100 for prom, which I don’t even want to go to, but it’s pretty much obligatory over here

Prom costs $100 at your school, what that’s expensive.

We pay like $70 in “Senior dues” that covers the robes and gown and all that, and then Homecoming costs $15 and Prom like $30, coming out of my wallet :’(

We did chose the free Senior Picture plan were they just take 3 pictures and chose the best to put in the yearbook, though.

Finished the first draft of my Common App essay #:-S It’s hideous but at least there’s something there, right? Now for the other 16 supplements that I still need to write…

@basedchem What, are you applying to 15 schools?

I recommend you shorten your list. :open_mouth: Especially if you don’t get fee waivers.
