High school class of 2016

@LordBendtner Oh, that’s tough. Congrats on the 34, though - it’s still the 99% !

For my interview, my college advisor is going to run a mock interview with me right after school and he’s letting me borrow a portfolio to take notes on for the interview. All my physics teacher did was make me nearly cry with the intensity of his questions. He meant well, but he suddenly did that to me in front of the whole class when I didn’t want the whole class to know I was applying to MIT.

I’m also a first-generation college student, CC has helped me so much!
I finally finished my essay yesterday. It was about being a first-generation student, as well as being homeless as a sophomore.

Welp, MIT interview over.

@XoXdreamerXoX congratulations! How was it? :slight_smile:

@kuriosmind I have no idea. It was like having a normal conversation with any other adult. My interview ran to an hour and forty minutes.

Some of the MIT supplements ask for “100 words or fewer”, but the boxes let you type in WAY more than 100 words. Anyone know if the word limit is actually 250, or…?

Just follow the directions. Just because there are 200 candies doesn’t mean you should take them all. I think my analogy sucked, haha.

Hey everyone! Hope you all are having an amazing, amazing senior. (JK, we’re probably all stressing because we’re overachievers.) Just wanted to stop by and say hi! Haven’t been around for quite some time, but being around overachievers (even online!) is always motivating- and I’m far from motivated right now, haha.

How are things going for everyone? Are you stressed, nervous, excited, or a random amalgamation of the three?

@XoXdreamerXoX: Yeah, I’m the kind of person who would take the 200 candies.

@Almondjoy7
I hate my life rn

@LordBendtner Same.

@Almndjoy7 I’m all three.

I wish teachers would stop piling homework on weekends because that’s the only time we have to write our essays. I don’t know about you guys, but I can’t get really any essay-writing done on weekdays.

@XoXdreamerXoX @purrples
Sorry for replying late but thanks! I’ll order both tomorrow. I need to take the test next month.

@allista My life is 20/7 homework. I’m exhausted and if I want to work on my college apps and essays, I have to sacrifice sleep. AP Lit and Bio are killing me slowly.

I wish most of my classes were as chill as computer maintenance, physics, and chemistry.

Edit: My lack of Oxford comma use after “physics” bothered me.

MIT interview tomorrow after the SAT II Physics!! What a sciencey day haha! Best of luck to y’all testing tomorrow!!

@emtfxc Good luck man

Taking Math 2 and lit tomorrow. I might cancel lit though since I didn’t prepare for either test and probably can only use today for one.

I have the SAT I tomorrow and I know I suck at CR. I don’t know what to dooooo. Probably drinking coffee will help, though. I know I do a lot better on reading when awake.

Ugh I just finished the SAT French test. 'Twas not very good - I didn’t manage my time very well and ended up having to skip a lot of questions. I’m glad I signed up for the French w/Listening in November now.

Good luck to everyone else taking their tests today!

SAT MATH level 2 was kinda weird lol. All 50 of the questions were either super easy or something I forgot. Probably got around a 750
