Just submitted my UChicago application!! :))
@shadyconcepts: Best of luck to you! And now we wait for decisions on December 15th… X_X
Hey guys do we have to submit financial aid apps as well? I just read Princeton has a nov 1 financial aid deadline for early action and I’m freaking out
Wait…do I have to submit a financial aid application for MIT as well?
…I thought those weren’t until next year, when taxes were filed and whatever.

@debate4ever For Princeton EA, yes you have to fill out the Financial Aid app by today
@SippinCoffee is this flexible? or no
@debate4ever Not flexible. It’s on their website
Guys when are you submitting your applications?
I just got home for work. My terrible day has made me realize how much this really means to me.
I’m going to edit one last time and submit within the next hour.
I’m so tired. I would take a nap but I don’t think I have that kind of time on my hands.
My other reccomender just started working on common app :))
@letmeseetheworld sorry you had a bad day. I’ll probably do the same. My worst fear is having to edit my essays again for regular decision and finding mistakes
@letmeseetheworld My physics teacher hasn’t started on my rec. Am I just supposed to stay up until 11 to see if he does it?
I’ve been so upset and stressed out lately. I’m trying to get myself in the feels to finish up this app.
I really just want to make a better living for myself and my family and prove anyone who ever doubted me wrong. I want people to hear about me in a few years from now and be like “oh, letmeseetheworld did what? I should have been nicer to her yo”.
Lol, but I need to get a real diary instead of writing out my thoughts on the internet.
Once I edit my essays, I just wont bother reading them ever again, lol.
@XoXdreamerXoX I don’t think teachers have as strict of a deadline.
@letmeseetheworld I know it feels terrible to know that the only way people will look at you differently is to achieve quantitative success, but college decisions won’t change who we are. You’re all amazing and I’m so glad we met in this exceptionally intellectual corner of the internet.
And I suck at keeping diaries. I usually only write for a few days before I lose motivation. Maybe it’s because my life is not so interesting.
I write so many of my thoughts on here it’s not okay. But I’m anonymous. :)>- But I feel you @letmeseetheworld . That was me last night. I felt really strongly writing about being a first generation student because of it. Not only do I doubt myself sometimes, but there is more doubt thrown at me by those around me. Especially being low income in a community where my minority group doesn’t usually perform well. Show your passion through your writing and let those feelings out there. I know that when I think of these things, I have a driving force to help me write better.
I’ve realized that my motivation changed from trying to change the opinions of those around me to trying to do something better for myself with my newfound potential. You don’t know your strengths until you stumble upon them.
@QueenN22 Well, if the Common App were to crash today, I’d be screwed.
Don’t you all get a grace period if you’re having trouble submitting your apps?
