@gonewiththeair Is it perhaps that your counselor cannot submit a rec? Some school counselors cannot because they do not know the student well enough (well, at my school, they have signed a contract saying they will not, under any circumstances, write counselor recs for students because the result would be a really badly written clump of lies. 900-1000 students per class. Not good). Maybe you should ask.
So, I submitted an essay over being a first gen. Maaaybe it’s a bit overused. Hopefully it’s good enough to overcome that.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes CollegeBoard to send scores (not the October test, but earlier testing dates) to schools? I sent some 1.5 weeks ago, but they’re still pending.
it can be two weeks at times @1358531 sometimes collegeboard is especially messy and takes longer.
@TheAtlantic Okay, thanks for letting me know! I really hope they get there by today. 
I’m freaking out because I didn’t do rush scoring and I sent my scores on the day they came out and my deadline is today and they still say pending.

@XoXdreamerXoX no, i don’t think that’s the case. a counselor came into my senior seminar class on friday and confirmed that they do write recs. we had to fill out a survey about ourselves to give to the counselor and we gave forms to two teachers to fill out about us so that they could give it to the counselors to use in the letters of rec. so i don’t think that’s the case.
EDIT: our quarter grades come out on wednesday i think, so maybe he’s waiting for those to be finalized? i’ll have to ask him this week.
I made a B in statistics and therefore refrained from submitting 1st quarter grades. I was upset. It’s going to kill what I had planned this year for my GPA.

@1358531 I sent my scores around the same time you did (not October, but May scores) and CB sent out a mass email explaining their delay for scores ordered after Oct 14, so don’t be surprised if yours are still pending today :\
Did Common App crash last year on the night of Nov. 1?
I’m finishing my last essay, so I’ll probably submit around 5 p.m. today. On one hand, I really like my essays. On the other, I’m submitting hours before the deadline…
