Waiting for a Skype interview with a college right now. It’s very nerve-wracking, especially because they’re the ones who will be calling.
So any theories on what happened to the OP of this thread?
@AMan236 Bassoonapus hasn’t made a thread or reply since Autumn of 2012. They were really only active for six months. I don’t think it’s out of the ordinary for someone to spend a lot of time on a social network site for a brief amount of time before fizzling out of it. That was back in like, freshman year anyhow, so it’s likely that Bassoonapus got preoccupied with school, too.
My GC told my mom he thinks I won’t get into Temple! 
He said it’s because of my SATs. I applied using the Temple Option (no SATs, four prompts) so I may have a chance.
@newjerseygirl98 Don’t get discouraged!! There’s ALWAYS a >0% chance if you at least applied.
My college adviser does the opposite…he tells the 900 SATs (CR+M+W) they will get into the ivies. He’s probably just trying to be encouraging, but…
@newjerseygirl98 You have a chance and you were smart to recognize your scores weren’t your strength and to utilize the test optional option. @XoXdreamerXoX Ouch. Hopefully those kids have actually legit safety and match schools.

I think I did well, but I may have come off as too shy, which is what I’m worried about. Hopefully the interviewer liked me, it was my first interview so I didn’t know what to expect. But thank you CC for helping me out there I found some great tips that really helped me.
@nuimancel Too shy isn’t a bad thing at all! I’ve heard from interviewers that some of the best interviewees have completely different personalities - peppy ones, shy ones, pretty much everyone.
My first interview was actually horrendous lol, I’m really glad that I have gotten better. I’m sure you’re gonna do amazing now!

Help… did anyone ask for an optional rec from someone who’s not a teacher? I’m confused…
If I need my optional recommender to submit recs to 5 schools, do I need to invite her 5 different times on Common App?
@LikeThis You just need to invite her once then add her to the schools, as you would with teacher recs.
@LikeThis I asked for an optional rec from my Science Olympiad advisor.
