UMichigan has exceeded my expectations.
It’s been amazing! I’m so happy that I chose to go here.
There is a semester system here, so it’s not quarters. The work here is hard, so prepare to learn and prepare to learn things about yourself that you didn’t know before.
I’m not going to sugarcoat it. It’s cold here, but it’s manageable. I rather be nice and comfy in the cold, than almost naked in hot temperatures.
As a freshman, I got the experience to work on sending a satellite into space, to the experience to building a hybrid racing car. Words can’t describe my experience here.
Also, the motto here is “Work Hard, Play Hard.” The party scene here is pretty big too, if you’re in to that. I know people that don’t party, and they love it too. On the weekend, my roommate goes star-gazing.
Don’t even get me started on the sporting events. The football games are insane and has a whole different atmosphere.
Everyone here is so friendly too, which I found surprising.

Also, the main con that stops people from coming here is the cold, however, if you invest in a quality jacket, you’re good to go!

@Optimyst It depends on the interviewer. I would bring one just in case, but I have had some interviewers who didn’t wanted to see it and some who asked me to bring one.
Everyone in college has stated that they do not miss high school.
