High school class of 2016

I always hated both chemistry and biology, even if I’m not too bad at it, but always generally liked physics because it made more sense to me. Then I decided to take AP Physics and…no.

how early do you guys get out from school because you guys are always posting stuff like at 11am and I’m like whatt? Do your schools let you bring your phones or something? I know this may seem like an odd question,but we’re not allowed to bring phones at my school.

I get out at 3. We’re not allowed to use phones at school, but there are so many things one can get away from once a reputation is established.

It depends on the teacher for me. @Tookme10mins Some lets us use our phones after we pass in our tests and quizzes. They don’t mind phones out during assignments but will ask us to put it away if its too distracting.

My school issued computers so we can do anything as long as it is not social media or other restricted things and the teachers dont see

We get out at 2:30 but yeah, we have iPads that are school issued that we can access cc on during breaks or if you’re not doing anything in class. Also no phones? Dang, I don’t know if I could deal with that…I use my phone so much at school (not necessarily during class, but finding friends for lunch, breaks, after school, etc).

I got my housing assignment for university today! It’s crazy knowing I’ll be 1000 miles away in a few months.

@WeROutsiders aaaah that’s exciting though!

@wonderlanddd yeah no phones :frowning: . Though my state’s mayor did officially declare that public school students could bring their phones to school a lot of parents,at my school, thought that was a bad idea. So,my school decided on a system where they collect our phones in the morning(if we decide to bring them) and then return them to us at the end of the day. It does kind of suck,but at least it’s not like how it was before. Before,our mayor made that decision, we had to pay a dollar a day for a truck(one issued by the NYC department of education) to hold our phones because we weren’t allowed to bring them into the school building.

@Tookme10mins lol what the hell?

@Tookme10mins ouch…well honestly, I’d probably be a lot more focused and get more stuff done without my phone/other tech, so there’s that

@Tookme10mins Why not just hide it?

I’ve sprained my tailbone for quite sometime and haven’t told anyone. It heavily impairs my walking and speed. Also, it hurts when I sit down. Thing is, I am kinda scared to tell my mom about it. She’d flip out and start crying, probably quit her job. I’m trying to decide whether to keep it a secret or to tell her. I know… I’m an idiot, but uh… yeah I’m an idiot. Most everywhere I look, some expert says that the pain will go away after a few weeks, but yeah… I’m an idiot.

@Tookme10mins My school lets us text, they really don’t care what we do. I get out at 2:50 or 1:26, alternating every other day.

How to break the news is my question, I guess

@AMan236 First off, and kind of unrelated, why would your mother quit her job because of that?

Also, how long has it hurt you? I sprained my tailbone a few years ago and it does in fact get better with time. However, if it continues for a while you probably broke it.

I would honestly just tell her flat out.

@AMan236 Bro, you post some pretty strange crap. Good luck with the butt pain.

@AMan236 Why would your mom quit her job? But either way I’d stick it out since it should go away on its own. Ice/Heat/Advil are the holy grail.

Tiger balm or other muscle balms during the day and ice at night and in the mornings

@XoXdreamerXoX my school has metal detectors.When you walk in there are two lines. One for if you have a cell phone and another if you don’t. Whichever line you go on when you put your bag through the metal detector the security guard can see if you have a phone and they’ll tell you to give it in in the auditorium which is very close to where we get scanned.So if you try to get away with sneaking in with your phone they’ll catch you.There have been a few people at my school who’ve someone managed to sneak their phones in. I don’t know how though.
