High School Class of 2017

My prom is May 19 and I graduate June 13… I’m so ready

@greenteen17 Wow, that’s super late. At least you don’t have to worry about finding a date for prom

Thank God my prom is after AP tests. Idk how I could go to prom with Maxwell’s equations and Plato’s Allegory running through my head lolol.

my prom is pretty early - april 8th - and our last day is may 26th!
gosh. it feels agonizing.

We don’t even have proms… I go to a private religious school, and such activities are impermissible

mine’s always been the saturday BEFORE AP EXAMS >:(
i went last year but man was that stressful with 5 APs

I am a full-time dual-enrollment student at community college, so no one will ask me to prom anyway ( I am also slightly disconnected from the students at the high school). On top of this, I am not allowed to walk in my HS graduation because I am technically graduating from community college. Not sad about it though. My life is good, and I can dress up and eat fancy for a day if I want to.

@math3matical that’s so weird that your school doesn’t let you walk. Last year a girl graduated with her associate’s degree before she finished her senior year but they still let her walk at graduation.

@math3matical Not sure how dual-enrollment works, but that is strange. Do your HS credits transfer over to the CC or something?

Only AP can transfer over to the CC and my associates degree, but all my CC courses can transfer to my HS transcript. I COULD petition to walk in graduation (which I may still do), but I also might just walk in the college graduation. @GMkoon @QMusic

Ap exams are so expensive, and this year my school has no discounts. I’m literally paying for the Ap exam so I don’t have to take the final that the teacher makes smh

Hey everyone! Today I was bored in class and decided to make of list of everything college related I’ve done in the past year. It made me feel really good to see all the effort I put in so I figured I’d share it with all of you, since you guys probably did similar stuff.

-made a college list and revised it a million times
-visited colleges
-had interviews
-took the old SAT and new SAT and ACT and SAT subject tests (wow, I’m so happy the standardized test chapter is behind me…unless I end up applying to law school)
-filled out the common app - personal info, activities, classes, and ESSAY
-did a crazy amount of supplement essays
-FAFSA
-CSS
IDOC
-got teacher and counselor recs

So relax (easier said than done, and I’m speaking to myself here too!) and know that you put in your fair share of effort

My prom is June 3 and my graduation is June 16. Super late, but better late than never!

Wow, you all graduate so late! My graduation is on the 27th of May…

My graduation is June 1st, but our classes end May 27th! We still have to go to school for practice graduation though…

I graduate June 3rd! No idea when the last day of school is… but I think it’s towards the end of May.

My prom is April 1st, and my graduation is May 18th

WHAT. My graduation is June 7th… and we get out of school June 2nd…

hi i am ready to fast forward through time to see what schools hate me and what schools hate me less

@Faultystart Don’t you hate it when it seems like all schools will hate you, no matter how hard you try lolz
