I’m doing business (international and management) with a minor in political science. I’ll major in econ for schools that don’t have a business major or if I don’t get accepted into their business program
Got into UC Irvine with Regents + Honors. It’s a safety but it’s an option.
Pre-med (Bio) with a minor in Korean Language and Culture
I’ll be studying marine bio!
@neoking Interesting choices, and wow, aerospace engineering. Good stuff m8!
I have no idea currently what my major will be in university. I love computers, mathematics, business, space, and machine learning. I may possibly be an information systems major and minor in something else. I’ll let you all know in a month or two when I get my life together (hopefully)!
ugh i’m totally ready to graduate
@Faultystart SAMEEEEEEEE
i’m still confused ahhh yikes
but i’m planning on being a history-chemical engineering double major! maybe a music or musical/theatre minor haha
@blackkitteycat I plan to major in English and minor in either Spanish or history (or both idk if I could handle it).
@YoohooAddict Thanks man! I actually want to major and get a PhD in physics, but the practical side of me is telling myself to go with engineering. The hobbies I know I wanna be a part of in life definitely require lots of cash, so it’s best that I go with MechE and Aero. Not much money in physics. But Stanford doesn’t require majors to be selected until sophomore year, so perhaps a professor or advisor there will convince me that physics is safe and practical. Idk, the future is uncertain (but that makes it more exciting IMO haha!).
And what are you thinking about majoring in?
@neoking Ya I heard about the required majors thing at Stanford and yes it’s definitely a great idea to ask someone there as they’d know better.
I’m thinking of doing a double major in Compsci and Mathematics with a minor in Physics, but that’s gonna be hella tough. I don’t know how it’ll all work out, but I’m willing to do anything to fulfill my aspirations lolz
me: oh man scioly is in a few weeks i need to get cracking on my research!
me @ me: nah let’s procrastinate until last minute then shift into MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE
:") clearly i love myself
I just committed to University of Maryland (UMD). Good luck to everyone here! Hope you all get into your top schools and become significant figures later on in life! UMD Class of 2021 here I come!!!
Congrats to everyone on their acceptances!!
I’m probably going to study computer science, but I’m still considering biomed/chem engineering
Btw are you guys doing anything this summer? The past years I’ve gone to camps but I haven’t found any good ones for incoming freshmen.
@Bse15578 I’m gonna try to take some courses in the Harvard Extension School and then transfer the credits to UMD .
@Bse15578 I think I’m just going to rest and enjoy my summer. If there’s anything I realized since college applications, it’s that I never really got to fully enjoy high school because I focused too much on academics. Thus, I want my summer break to be one where I can finally unwind and explore my own interests. I haven’t even gotten my driver’s license yet since I’ve been so busy, so I hope to get it ASAP.
Also, it’s been forever since I’ve posted on CC! It’s good to be back.
Any summer camps/programs that you guys would recommend?
SAME SAME SAME DEFINITELY GETTING MY DRIVER’S LICENSE
and relaxing
okay but maybe i’ll write more music & try to write a musical??
and also go back to the local newspaper i interned at last summer & try to intern there again! i want to immerse myself in my community instead of shifting into FULL SPEED AHEAD MODE because college will be full of those opportunities, and i won’t be able to go non-stop if i don’t take a break :~)
