@BingeWatcher No. I took Physics C with pretty much no physics experience and at the same time I was taking Calc AB.
Thank you @Faultystart
@BingeWatcher You don’t need AP1, but I find that it helps a lot with Physics C Mechanics since you are familiar with almost all the concepts, you just have to improve your mathematical abilities. Students who are successful in AP1 and AP2 find physics C a walk in the park because of past experience. Either way, Physics C itself isn’t too difficult since it doesn’t really have a complex treatment of mechanics and E&M.
Are you guys having graduation parties? Idk if I should have one. My parents want to, but we don’t have a large house to comfortably fit everyone who would come. They want to invite lots of family members, but I have too many friends who’d want to come as well. I’m just not sure if it’s worth all the hassle setting it up and coordinating everything.
And I’ve been to many graduation parties - both at homes and at rented facilities - and most are never really all that fun. And don’t get me wrong - I LOVE to party, but the structure of grad parties is just so rigid and boring (especially with all that adult supervision lolol).
But there is money to be had in the gifts you receive. I know people who’ve been able to make a profit off of these parties through gifts.
@neoking I’m having one. I didn’t think it was necessary but my mom insisted on it. We have close to 100 people coming. At first, it was going to be at my house but as the number of people grew we rented a hall at the park district. I’m expecting gifts, but have no expectations and definitely not looking to make “a profit”. It’s to celebrate. Not make money
I’m also having a grad party, but it’s just for family because I have a cousin that graduates the day before I do.
@neoking I’m not, but re: your issue about the venue, I just went to a grad party that was hosted in a park. It was pretty fun–someone had brought a soccer ball, a football, a frisbee, and some other stuff to play with. I think if you don’t want to have one, don’t bother. If you want gifts, I’m sure family and close friends will get you some, but in my experience (where whole grades are invited to parties), not many other than close friends and family actually bring gifts.
@Faultystart Wow, it sounds great to host one in a park. My mom is deciding to have one just for family at home, and then I’ll probably go to Six Flags with my friends to celebrate our graduation. Thanks guys!
Last day of HS was today and graduation is Tuesday
Congratulations to all of you!
