@joyce1517 I think that dual enrollment is worth it. I’m doing DE for all of the classes that I can, and if someone has the money to do it, then he/she should do it.

Anyone who plans on attending an in-state college should definitely do it, and people who are trying to get into highly selective schools should too. No one can count on getting in to an extremely high end college, and if someone ends up going to an in-state university, that person can save so much money because of DE. Plus, some DE credits are accepted to private or Out-of-state universities.

@TP2000 It’ll be a new thing for my high school, but I think it says that tuition and all book fees will be paid for. I think it will be free for the participating students, but there might be other student fees. Oh okay, I was not sure if the credits were applicable to other colleges. The program only specifies UCs and CSUs since I live in California.

My AP Lit teacher for next year just emailed us our summer work :o We have to either make a newspaper, journal, scrapbook, or comic book on 10 stories from the Bible, and then there’s going to be a test on a ton of proverbs when the school year starts. I’m really surprised at how 107 people signed up for AP Lit next year. Not gonna lie, at least 15 are probably gonna end up dropping tho. Lots of my friends from regular English are taking AP next year and I’m pretty excited to finally have people who I actually know in English

@joyce1517 I will likely do dual enrollment next summer at a CC. What class do you plan on taking?

I’m in california as well

@BucketsUCSC I’m not sure yet. It’s a new program where we have to take two classes each semester at the local community college. It seemed as though there were very very few choices for the first year of the program (junior year) but I’m going to try to get some more information at some information night thing. What class do you plan on taking?

Also I have to apply though, but I’m pretty sure that I can get amazing recs from my two favorite teachers.

oh for us you have to “apply” but it isn’t really an application, almost everyone is allowed to take classes and the district pays for up to two classes per semester. The only thing is high school students have final standing so if a class were to fill up we’d have last priority. I plan on taking business management 1 or computer science the summer before senior year. And senior year I plan on taking Macro and Micro Economics.

Have logged in to CC after a long time. I have 3 AP exams coming up. AP Comp Sci, AP Physics 2 and Calc AB.
Good luck everyone.

@polarisgirl How are you studying for comp sci? I found this list of the past free response q’s grouped by topic at AP Computer Science A Exam Questions by Topic | Penjee, Learn to Code and I’ve been looking through Practice-It!, codingbat, and a pdf copy of Building Java Programs. I am just really on edge about the free response questions. I never know when they want me to write and interface and the for-loops really drain all of my concentration on MC!

@neptuna I actually took Italian in middle school. The class was fun! We had a different teacher each year.

This is my sophomore schedule/grades. I’m a little worried that it’s not competitive enough

Non-Euclidean Geometry A+
AP United States History A+
AP Physics C A+
AP Spanish A+
AP English Literature A+
AP Biology A+
AP World History A+

@cp1443 stop. Just. Stop.

I’m also self-studying AP Computer Science, AP United States Gov, and AP Chemistry to take this May. Am I doing too much?

Mine rn:
APUSH: 90.2% A-
Honors Algebra 2: 98.8% A+
English 10: 102% A+
Human Body Systems: 94% A
Spanish 3: 93% A
AP Bio: 84.8% B
