Do you think you guys will only be using Khan Academy? I have a few Princeton Review books, and I don’t want to waste them, but it seems more beneficial than harmful to focus on a main mode of study.
I just came from the pool party. We had so much fun! We just swam for a while, then went inside. I blew everyone away with my karaoke and Just Dance Skills! It was so great! @KG5APR
@bubblylaugh I just plan to use Khan Academy. The best material has to come directly from the source, right? I don’t really want to fork over money to the large test prep companies unless I have to. (AP, SAT2)

@bubblylaugh I’m focusing on Khan Academy for now, the nice thing is that CollegeBoard wrote all the questions, so you know exactly what they look like. But, I’m beginning to run out of questions in some categories, so I might need to supplement with another book.
I took a practice SAT subject Math 2 test, and I got 100 points higher than the last time I took it, so that’s really encouraging to know the studying’s working! If I hadn’t left the last 3 blank (I got answers for them but didn’t have enough time to think through if they were right and didn’t want to get them wrong because of the guessing penalty) I would have gotten a perfect 800!

@snowfairy137 Wait, there’s still a guessing penalty on the SAT Math 2 Test? How would they even enforce that?
Also, do you guys think I should do a SAT Practice session the day before I take the practice test?
@Ak2018 depends on how ur schedule works out, i dont think it will help or hurt much overall.
On the math 2 test its -.25 for every answer you get wrong and -0 if u leave it blank.
How do you change your profile picture?
@snowfairy137 Lol, I literally just changed my profile pic no more than 20 seconds ago. To do so, you have to go to settings, that little gear button, and press Preferences. Then, on the left side, there will be a list of words under your current profile picture. Right under where it say “Notification Preferences” it should say “Change Picture” or something. Click it, and it’ll ask you to upload the picture from your computer. After that, the tricky part is trying to center you picture, if the picture’s dimensions are too big.
My parents spent 3000 dollars on SAT bootcamp over the summer i begged them not to(not because I don’t want to study) but because I don’t want them to spend so much money but they wouldn’t listen.
@BucketsUCSC Yikes, that camp costs more than my family makes in a month. Did you tell them it would be a better use of resources to use Khan Academy and a prep book? Is there anyway to get a refund if you choose not to go? That seems like a terribly harsh way to spend your Summer. You could always pull out the, “it would look better for colleges if I…”(worked, got an internship, volunteered). Maybe then they’ll listen to you. At least, that’s how I got my parents to let me stay in Choir and Orchestra.

I am tested. Honestly I have no idea; I am hoping for a 30 right now. English I kind of struggled with, Math I think I only missed 1 or 2, Reading I kind of struggled with the ant passage and a little bit with the prose fiction, and Science I can’t even tell how I did. Some times I think I did really well and do horrible and sometimes I think I did horrible and do great. Reading and Science scores seem to swing around a lot for me.

So I guess I’ll say I commend all of you for studying and test taking. I feel horribly unproductive. Unfortunately the place I wanted to work isn’t accepting applicants, so I need look elsewhere tomorrow.
Hey guys. So I was just wondering, as I’m about to start coding in Java, what I should be using. I’m currently using Codeacadmey, but it will only teach me the basics of Java. So I learn Java from someplace else? Maybe from a YouTube channel or by taking a course on edx.
