High School Class of 2018

I guess mine would be

  1. AP Lit
  2. Honors Precalc
  3. AP Econ
  4. AP Chem
  5. AP Physics 1
  6. Medical Interventions

I just realized I put an A as my goal grade for AP English Language, when I should’ve put a B. All well. I guess I’ll shoot for an A. I’m pretty sure it’s very possible and I’m just selling my self short again. Also, our school is getting a new AP English 11 teacher next year as one of our old ones is retiring. Hope he/she is nice, emotionally and grade-wise.

1)AP Chem-A
2)AP Bio-A
3)English 3 (H)-B+
Advisory) ACT Prep(Grading is really weird but I want a 33 next time)
4)Stats (H) and Chem 2 (H) ---- One semester each-A/A
5)APUSH-A-
6)Pre Calc (H)-A
7)Spanish 4 (H)-A

So I just found out that one of our school’s math teachers invited all of her students to her wedding and it was today. Congrats to her!

Why would she want all her students at her wedding lol? Isn’t a wedding too personal for all her students to attend?

@kassh4 Well, not to her apparently! I’m remember when she got engaged in April. I was in the class next door with my teacher and we heard cheering on the other side of the wall that was behind us. Our teacher had told us she got engaged, as she told all of the math department of teachers the minute she got back to go to school, and we cheered right back at them. :)) We all said congrats to her once the period was over. I kind of hope she’s my math teacher next year, she seems nice.

She also invited all of her past students, by past I mean students who had her anytime during their four years of high school and it was in a big open field. It kind of looked like a farm, which was what of my friends told me.

I will put my grade predictions when I get my class schedule (next week)!

@Kassh4 general chem at a 4 year university
@Ak2018 yea, ive been introduced to chem, but I do plan on using khan academy.
The FRC challenge comes out in early January.

@snowfairy137 Thanks!

@kassh4 I would consider UA if I lived nearby, but since its so far away I don’t think my family could afford to fly-out to see me, or vice-versa. Hopefully I’ll find good options around where I live. ^^’

I don’t get my actual schedule until a few days until school starts, but this would be my desired schedule:

  1. Financial Literacy / Study Hall (S1/S2) - A+
  2. Chemistry - A
  3. Chemistry (M/T, TH/F), Gym (M/T, TH/F), Junior Planning (W) - A, A
  4. Honors Latin III - A+
  5. Pre-Calc - B
  6. AP Lang - A-
  7. APUSH - A-
  8. Intro to Marketing / Study Hall (S1/S2) - A+

Those A-'s in the AP classes are very optimistic. :stuck_out_tongue:

@LeopardFire Random question, how did you italicize the word “very” in your post?

Also, what is “Junior Planning”?

Ugh, I’m sick of seeing all of these Panic! At The Disco concert pics on my Instagram feed. I feel like I was the only one that didn’t go. :frowning:

My schedule for next year is:

  1. AP USH
  2. AP English Language
  3. AP Statistics
  4. AP Spanish Language
  5. Lunch
  6. AP Art History
  7. AP Chemistry
  • I’m going to self-study for AP Calculus BC since it didn’t fit into my schedule, I enjoy calculus, and I want to advance in math

Hopefully I will get A’s in everything, but Chemistry and Spanish are both going to be pretty hard.

Damn son RIP @TP2000

Did you take AP Calc AB last year? If you didn’t then RIP to you about self studying hahahahaha

@Soccer1235 I took a class called “Honors Brief Calculus” which covered everything from AB except for the derivatives/integrals of trig functions. The Calculus BC test is also changing next year, which could make self-studying harder…

@TP2000 Looking at your schedule almost made me have an anxiety attack! Seriously dude, just don’t die next year.

prayfortp2000 because he's going to need all the prayers he can get! ^:)^ :))

Also, why did you take AP Statistics and not AP Calculus BC as a class? Did it not fit into your schedule?

^^ it would make more sense to self study AP Stats cuz it is easier. Too late now ig good luck @TP2000

@ak2018 Both my AP Calculus BC and AP Spanish classes were scheduled for forth hour, so I had to drop one. I feel like my Spanish skills aren’t that good, so I’m continuing with Spanish. I also don’t know where I’ll be applying to colleges yet, so I may as well have four years of Spanish.

@kassh4 Some teachers just value teaching as a huge part of their life. If that was me, I would have gave the students I couldn’t openly dislike the wrong address. :))
@ak2018 49% of applicants from Virginia were accepted compared to 29% of out-of-state kids. This would even out to the 33% that is posted overall. I like the dream schedule idea, but I already know the class periods for choir, orchestra, and the stem mentorship class.

Dream Schedule:

  1. Orchestra
  2. AP English (Wish it could be first!)
  3. AP Chem
  4. Choir/Lunch
  5. AP Calc BC (last-minute homework help at lunch)
  6. APUSH
  7. STEM Mentor.
*French 1/2 DC online- Once a week on Saturdays (I wish!)

I just finished packing for my flight tomorrow. I’ve been wanting to go to this program for the longest time and this all feels like a dream. I know I won’t be able to sleep tonight, so I’m going to pick a TV show to binge watch!
