One of my closest friends got into Harvard ED today! Also like 2 people from my school that I’m not very familiar with apparently got into Stanford ED. And I’m dreading friday. Did anybody else here apply ED Johns Hopkins?
There are so many scholars here ahhh wow. It seems as if everyone (who has had results so far) has gotten into a really good university!

Well it isn’t an ivy or anything but i got my Hofstra acceptance today along with a full ride merit aid letter! The school isn’t my first choice but i’m definitely excited as it is my first acceptance. I’m waiting to hear back from their admissions office about the 5 yr. Physician Assistant program I applied for. Congrats to everyone on their accomplishments!!

Does anyone have any advice on how to help a friend deal with rejection? One of my best friends just got rejected from Penn, and he’s really upset. It makes me feel awful to see him so unhappy. He’s being so hard on himself and I don’t know how to help him. I’d love to hear y’all’s input.
All I want is to be left alone. I don’t want to be dragged into the competition of who’s best in my class. I want people to stop asking me about test scores, class rank, and where I’m applying. I’m just so done, and I wish my classmates would respect my wishes.

My school had a two hour delay today, but there’s no way I’m driving to school when half the roads aren’t plowed yet. So, I’m not going. I know someone who slid off the road this morning and luckily didn’t get hurt, but my god these roads are bad.
I planned to meet with my group today to finish up our project for our college final today, but the college is half an hour away and there’s no way I’m driving there when I can barely get down my street.
I have an EA decision coming in tomorrow, and I’m super excited! Should be an acceptance, but no one knows for sure.
@ls2018 just give him some time to cool off. If he is still stressing a week after he got the bad news, show him that another school is better than the one he got rejected from. Tell him to channel his sadness/anger into beating the RD game
@jeffrandell Thank you for the advice! He hears back from UChicago on Monday so hopefully that will go better for him – getting two rejections back to back would be hard.
@doctornc I did, but I literally wrote my essay on artificial intelligence and Robotics an hour before the original deadline and wrote about 400/650 words. I ended it hastily, but I think I have a shot. Either way, I’m honestly hoping that I somehow don’t get in so my dad can finally stop talking about how much of a better financial choice I would be making if I went to GMU. Like I get it already!
