Sorry about not replying @awesomepolyglot I was forced to go to a family holiday party. And it hasnāt even end, they just continued it at my house. But anyways, if youāre asking if I go to TJ as in The Thomas Jefferson High School For Science and Technology, then no, I donāt. I applied in the 8th grade and wasnāt accepted.

@awesomepolyglot Honestly I would have loved to go, but heard itās honestly really tough. Two of my old friends dropped out freshman year.
My old next door neighborās best friend goes there and is a senior, and she thought as of early junior year that it was fun, but that you were working almost 20 hours a day.
@tonyk16 Because I failed my Geometry EOC test by one question, theyāre allowing me to retake it in mid-January.
And I realized most of are on the Eastern seaboard, except @BucketsUCSC which is fine.
@awesomepolyglot Well itās a good thing I didnāt go there. I can barely handle school now.
@ak2018 Iām from the great state of Texas! Probably the one state where you can swim at the beach, drive through the desert, hike through forests, climb mountains, be mesmerized by miles of cotton and wheat, and still live in one of the largest cities in the United States. California might have us beat though. :))

Oh and for anyone wanting to know when we might be getting some snow, the El NiƱo, the weather pattern that is responsible for all of the warm weather in December, will pass sometime next month. This means that, unfortunately, the Polar Vortex will take itās place from the months of January to March. So good news, we might actually see some snow. Bad news, get ready for what might be some of the coldest days of the winter. Especially for anyone that has to walk a long ways to their bus stop or their school, like me. I honestly wish my parents could drive me to school, or at least to my bus stop. They donāt get back home until 8am. I have to walk to a bus stop that is 3/4 of a mile away from home to get to a school that is 17 miles away from home. All because it has a specialty program I love and the atmosphere is so much better than at the school I was supposed to go to. Iām not prepared to brace walking in those frigid temperatures, but Iāll have to. If I went to my neighborhood school, I would be at my bus in two minutes, instead of 15 minutes.
Sorry for my ranting! If anyone would like to talk about the horrible winter experiences while going to school or a horrible winter experience in general feel free.
Like for example, back when I was in middle school, when I could either walk to school or take a bus, I decided to walk to school. It was 30Ā° F outside. By the time I got to school, I could barely feel my hands. I immediately went to the bathroom and rinsed my hands with warm water and started to scream. I went to the nurse and got a warm pack (a pack full of warm water) and she told me that I was very close to getting frostbite. One of my friends actually did get frostbite and actually had to be taken home.
Is anyone applying to summer programs?
@ak2018 Oh my goodness! Personally Iām ready for some actual winter weather. Itās going to be 80 on Christmas here.

@Kelvin82 Iām applying to two (maybe three) biology research programs, so my winter break will largely consist of writing my applications for those (five total! and more if I apply for the third program). What about you?
Hi @Lbelle43 ! Hope youāll make it to Thursday. I probably wonāt be able to do any Summer programs this year because Iāll be working, hopefully. I need some money to pay for online classes. Too bad I canāt do a summer internship program and get paid for it. Thatād be cool.
