High School Class of 2019

@IrrationalPepsi, Aah, I see. Lol I still have 2 years to go then before I can get a job anywhere ;). Happy Early Birthday!!!

you can work at McDonalds at 14 in california haha

I have a job lined up at my local library, a half mile away. They refused to take me on at fourteen, so I waited a year and now I’m hired  I could never do food service because of my anxiety issues and my mom can’t drive, so I’m happy to have a nice job I can bike to.

I’ll still never get why we expect teens to pay for college, then basically only give them two years to work before they go.

Oh, I didn’t know you could get a job at 14 in California… cool, that means I can get a job now! But, tbh, I probably won’t have the time during the school year.

I didn’t realize that my high school is actually a pretty good school until yesterday. I just assumed that all public schools sucked. We a huge number of students at my school, I think around 2,600ish, with about 21 APs offered and the IB Diploma and Dual Enrollment can also be done, but I still though my school wasn’t that good. It wasn’t until I talked to my brother, who is now a senior, about it and it turns out that we are one of the best schools in the state I think, or maybe district idk. Our school sends a couple kids to the Ivies and a lot of our faculty have come from really good schools. Our IB coordinator(or whatever they’re called), got his degree from Harvard. I was supposed to go to another school but I’m glad I didn’t!

Holy cats, your school is amazing. We have a class of five hundred, ten APs, no IB or Dual Enrollment, and we’ve sent three or four kids to the Ivies since the '90s.

My school constantly brags about how great it is-- I wish they’d let people forget it lol

Ironically, we do that too. I guess it’s to make up for our class? Apparently us, the West class of 2019 (we have two junior highs, East and West. East has money, we don’t) is the worst in thirty-four years. We did suck, though. God, I have so many middle school stories…

My school is terrible ugh we have about 13 APs, no IB classes, no one went to top tier/Ivy-league school the past few years, everyone just seems to go to my state school, Penn State. It really aggravates me because I’m aiming for top tier schools and people always laugh at me when I say that. They think I’m a “try-hard and a kiss-up” and shouldn’t be so focused on school so much. It just makes me sooo angry. No one has even heard of SAT Subject tests and I have to inform some of my close friends about them. It frustrates me knowing that my resources and opportunities are quite limited. Currently ranked 4/10 on greatschools, compared to the rest of Delaware County, my school is crap. Just tryna do me though, hoping I’ll survive the next few years and so on sighhh

lol we don’t even HAVE ap or ib.

@IrrationalPepsi I forgot to tell you this, but at NCSSM they turn the wifi off at like 11-12pm or something till the morning it seriously sucks

I’m close to finishing my trig self-study. Precalculus should not take too long, either, since I learned most of the stuff in Math III.

I thought it would be harder, but it is very straight-forward. There is a lot of memorization, though. Angle sum and difference, double angle and half angle formulas, I’m looking at you #-o

Woohoo holidays for me have begun!!!

Oh, my school is alright. We have ~850 students, of which ~215 make up my class. We have around thirteen APs, and honors classes in every subject. We have a lot of events and we support a lot of foundations. The clubs are lacking though.

How do you get everything done before it kicks off? That sounds awful.

@IrrationalPepsi you can actually derive the sum-to-product and product-to-sum formulas pretty easily, although it took me a bit

don’t forget polar coordinates and the complex plane- not to mention De Moivre’s theorem! also conics

Khan Academy makes my school look like they haven’t taught me any Algebra ugh. I’m 45% done a mission so that’s good

@RadioSpirit Same, I was literally .1 away from a B-

The class of 2020 thread is up, apparently its been up for a few weeks.
