That’d be cool, if I got the opportunity to do that I would surely take it.
This is going to be a semi-eventful week!
Tuesday: Volunteering from 7-1, then got to go with my step-brother to one of his interviews.
Thursday: BIRTHDAYYYY, and I’m getting all my weave cut off.
Friday: Have to take a laundry list of things to McDonalds to secure my job. Then, next Monday is job orientation.
did you guys get any holiday homework? btw how many weeks do you guys have left until school starts.
ya, so far I only have chem done but I’m currently working on history and english and
around 8.5 for me I’m pretty sure
59 days until my school restarts (september 8)
and i got tons of summer homework that i’ll start with 2 weeks left
same here @literallyliteral Really not hype for WHAP now that I think about it, I’m praying I get into AP Econ ugh, it used to be that sophomores could either take Euro, World of Econ to fulfill the 10th grade social studies requirement but now it’s only Euro or World and only a few can take Econ as an elective
also #teammystic for pokemon go fight me
School starts August 29 and I have a ton of summer assignment work to get done that I told myself I was going to do like a month ago but it just hasn’t happened yet.
I still have 2 reports to write for APES, and 4 more chapters of notes for AP World. And school starts August 9 for me - less than a month left!!
The hardest thing for me will most likely be an analysis paper for US Government on how different events formed our modern government because I’ve never written an analysis paper in my life! English I has left me so unprepared.
I am so unprepared for my Honors English class next year because the teacher grades notoriously hard on essays and I’m just gonna cry cause I know it will ruin my cute lil GPA I have right nw
I wish that instead of learning about Romeo and Juliet, in English we could learn more about grammar and writing. I don’t even like grammar but I need to improve.
We learned grammar in first semester w/ Communication Skills. Here, we had to take English year-long even though we are on a block schedule.
I only have summer homework for English II H, but I’ll start it in August. We go back August 29th
I indirectly have summer homework for AP Calculus, but that is another story.
Since I’m taking APUSH this year I have to read this really long book, take notes on each chapter, and write a double-spaced 2-3 page essay on it (I started a thread for anyone else taking the class btw). I’ve also been studying Algebra 2 in prep for this year and doing the SAT practice on Khan Academy in prep for the PSATS. School for me starts September 1st, and soccer preseason (AKA Hell) starts in August
I’ve been doing SAT practice too, still not sure if I should take it sophomore year but it doesn’t hurt to start early. The SAT practice test on Khan Academy drained me, I couldn’t think properly for hours and I was so exhausted. I took the SAT in 7th grade and I can’t imagine how worn out I must have been.
I think I’ll probably take the act/sat at the end of this year w some prep to see where I am and then probably again in sept/oct after having the summer to do more prep if necessary
When you walk to 7/11 at 7am with ur squad to get free slurpees but the store doesn’t give them out until 11am -__-
I was looking at my PSAT scores from my College Board account and it turns out that I actually barely missed any of the questions I answered, but I omitted 19/47 questions in Reading, 17/44 in Writing, 8/17 for Math w/o calc, and 11/31 w/ a calculator. I think I’ll do a lot better this year with answering the majority of the questions. .
@adiacs Why didn’t you just try. I don’t think there’s a guessing penalty lol
@IrrationalPepsi I spent too much time on the questions and just ran out of time. Next time I’ll just quickly circle random answers if I know I’m gonna leave too many answers blank haha
Pretty sure I didn’t know about the guessing penalty at the time also
