High School Class of 2019

I go to a teeny public school in IN. We’ve got about 150 kids!
My advanced class(es) is/are/will be taken at either community college or IU-B.

@shaneyboy123 I’m homeschooled and I take classes at a junior college and a university as well.

@OMPursuit Oh, I always have homework on weekends… Ugh procrastination sucks

Public school, about 1600ish kids

Omg your schools are so small! My school has over 4300 this year.

Public, ~1850. Used to be 2100.

Ahahaha guys I need help with my schedule again because I’m doing wayy too much. I need to quit, or I can see myself collapsing somewhere. I have at least 2-3 things every single day of the week wtf. Sooo…tips to quit ecs??

Pick something quitable or cut back??? Idk I’m just trying not to think about how I won’t have much time for climbing next year

finally get a week break from running before we kick into track preseason

I got to a public school with 2600 people and I love it!

@awesomepolyglot I am obsessed with Hamilton, I started listening to it the week before Thanksgiving and I’ve memorized almost all the lyrics and constantly hum the tunes. I need help.

I go to a public high school with about 1200 students, one of the smallest in my county.

@hab0tan Read How to Be a High School Superstar by Cal Newport, quit any activities that are generic or activities that take a lot of time that you don’t enjoy.

i go to a public school w/ about 1000 kids

Geez, I though my school was on the bigger side with 500. I’m not sure how I’d feel being in such a big school with 1000+ kids…

@shaneyboy123, my school has a lot of students but it’s pretty open, plus the classrooms are facing outside (it’s kind of hard to explain, but basically they aren’t in hallways), so it’s less cramped.

tfw you solve part of a project euler problem, get real excited… and realize the second half requires some crazy math p.p

@OMPursuit lol :smiley:

i need help guys!
im deciding my schedule for next year and I have narrowed it down to this:
AP US History
AP English 3
AP Spanish IV
AP Art History
Precalculus Honors (if I pass CBE then Stats I guess? i probably won’t though)

Here is my dilemma: What science class I should take. Its either AP Chem, AP Bio, or APES. Now I know what most of you guys are thinking: obviously not APES! But the thing is, at my school, AP Chem and Bio are double block, and both the periods aren’t 5.0. One is 4.5. I know I sound like a GPA monster, but I really need to stay in the top 1% of my class, and I am in the most competitive district in Texas. Anything I do to “mess up” my GPA can come back to haunt me. Should i take APES and Bio in senior? or Bio next year and Chem senior? HALP!!!

@anan16 Take whichever science you’re most interested in, not which one will help your GPA the most. For instance, I would absolutely die in AP Bio, because I dislike biology and I’m bad at memorizing things. That’s why I went with chem. Play to your strengths and pick the class you think you’ll enjoy the most.

Probably doing AP Bio next year for my science because I’m trash at chem :stuck_out_tongue:

I like both, honestly, but I will always love Biology (especially the environmental science part, so I guess technically APES)

If you’re not really interested in science, ig I would say apes just to free up more of your schedule
But honestly^^^ just pick whichever you’re most interested in; you’re more likely to enjoy it and do well that way
