Hey all - I’m new to this thread, but am so glad to have found a community of peers to rant to/learn from/exchange advice + inspiration + motivation with. This entire past year has been extremely regretful for me (I guess the Sophomore Slump is actually a thing?), but am really aiming toward rebounding in the coming years.
BTW, I’m from Canada but am considering schools in the US to keep my options open. Am not taking any APs but will be doing the IBDP. (Yikes.)
@ibAmbition12 Yes, from my experience, sophomore slump is definitely a thing. 
Did anyone take the ACT this month? I took it for practice and just got my score(s) back, and I did pretty well! How about you all?

I was super surprised. I started crying. I thought that I’d bombed it! It was way harder than the two practice tests!

(Wow, I forgot that some people actually have school this late. I’m going back in early August, though…)
Now that school is over, I have an 8am cross country practice tmrw and 6:30am practices the rest of the summer. Never get to sleep in lol.
Finished my last exam yesterday and have officially started preparation for the SATs as of today! Am kicking things off with critical reading/writing (I’m more of a humanities person) with the intention of tackling the math topics in the coming weeks.
Hopefully by the end of Summer vacation, I’ll be more or less set to take the test sometime in Gr.11/Jr. year. I’m not taking a formal class or anything, so I’m not sure if I’m doing everything right. However, I did successfully manage to become fully literate in Mandarin (my mother tongue which had deteriorated over the years) through “self-study” in the Summer between grades 6 and 7, so it’s not like I’m going into this with no self-confidence whatsoever…
That said, my feelings of apprehension still remain. Any advice to maximize results?
Many AP exam score distributions have been released!
My looking at them makes me nervous.

Bleh, I have to start studying for the SAT. I need to take it with essay…
Hopefully I’ll get a 1600 so it won’t matter that I didn’t take the ACT with writing

AP Calculus AB 5 rate dropped from 24.4% to 18.6% haha. Still think I gotta five tho.
AP Environmental 5 rate is 9.4%, but I’m fairly confident that I made a 4/5. Hoping for the latter.
AP Psych is still to be determined :((
