Hey, everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here. I find out whether I got into my dream school today, and I have a really bad gut feeling, honestly. I’m already beginning to feel the symptoms of so-called “college rejection depression”. Anyone else getting an important decision today/this month?
@sudania I found out that I was rejected ED from my dream school a couple months ago, so I just wanted to let you know that it gets easier after your decision no matter what; the anticipation is the worst part. I was pretty confident that I would be rejected, and while I obviously didn’t prefer a rejection, having my decision finalized ended up being more relieving than anything. No matter what your decision may be, the worst part is almost behind you, and trust me; no matter how much you like your dream school, there are a bunch of amazing colleges that you’ll be accepted to that will be really hard to turn down.

@jdecker9 Thank you so much for that. I agree that the anticipation is likely the hardest part. I can barely focus on anything else right now! I’ll update when I get the decision.

@awesomepolyglot Nope. I was crushed, mostly because I wasn’t sure how I would tell my counselor/peers who were rooting really hard for me. I did visit a school that I received a full ride to today, and found that I really liked it, so that helped me get my mind off of the rejection

Whew! This week has been a whirlwind of emotions. Got rejected from a top-choice school and then accepted to a different top-choice in the same week! Good luck to everyone no matter where you are in the process right now.
I am amazed that some of you are still active! I used to be really active my first year. If you know me, you’re a REAL one. I am deciding between American U and U of Maryland College Park. Political Science major for the former and Government and Politics major for the latter. Tough choice. I will be deciding next week!
