High school classes

I’m beginning my softmore year of high school coming here to ask how could I take classes faster, 2 of my classes bio and geometry are classes most freshman take but I’m taking them this year

Are you a U.S. citizen?

You don’t want to take courses faster. You want to take them in a sequence that provides you with a good foundation…AND you want to do well.

What did you take your freshman year of high school?

You want to try to have 4 years of English, social studies, sciences, math and foreign language to level 3 at least, and at least one arts course. You also need to satisfy you state and district requirements for high school graduation.

See your school counselor. It is their job to make sure you take the necessary courses for high school graduation….at least.

Yes resident of us, collages wanna see that you took hard classes and I feel as i could improve in my science and math

Freshman I took earth science and algebra 1

Don’t worry about the others I’m already on my 3 year of a foreign language and adv history’s and English.

But I am still considering a 4 year of my foreign language.

Heed @thumper1 advice. You’ll be in pre calc senior year and good for most every college. Not all colleges want to see advanced and no college expects you to jump higher than your current plan.

You take a huge risk jumping ahead - as was noted as you need a foundation.

I don’t know the stats but I’m guessing a far majority of college bound hs kids don’t take calc.

Many HSs structure their sequences differently and that’s ok. I would also caution rushing to skip ahead. We’ve seen disastrous results with that especially in math.

It was common in my D’s HS for students to double up in science though in senior year.

Yes, “collages” (colleges) do want to see that you challenged yourself in high school. Given how you’ve presented your topic, you should also improve your English skills.
You’re going to be writing a lot of essays, when applying to the universities, so your writing skills need to improve.
The schools are very competitive and you don’t want your lack of writing skills to be a factor in being rejected.
