High School Diploma in August

Hi there,

I will get my high school diploma late in August or even in September.

Does anyone know how MIT reacts to such a case? Or whom to ask this question?

If I enroll, I want to be sure to start this year’s class.

Anna

If you look on the MIT site, they say that a HS diploma is NOT required for admission. So I’d guess that you could definetly start school this year even if for some reason you do not get a diploma (unless of course this is because you failed several courses).

I think it would be advisable to talk to someone about this, just to get everything cleared up – for example, you’ll need to be on campus starting in late August for orientation, scheduling, and the start of classes. Will that be possible for you?

Yes, I would like to talk to someone, but to whom?

My last exams will take place in the last week of August, but these are only oral exams, so maybe there is a chance to take them before.

Thanks, Anna

I’m not sure exactly who would deal with this sort of thing, but you could email or call admissions, and they’d no doubt point you in the right direction.
