High School Dropout

Dropped out of high school, immediately got my GED and began classes @ a community college. I am now a junior with a 3.4 and am wondering what schools might be available for me to transfer into. I live in Florida so i have already applied to UF and FSU (waiting on response).

I am now looking for out of state schools but i’m trying to avoid schools that are requesting high school transcripts. Any ideas?

SUNY Binghamton? Or maybe a California school? Have you looked into any UCs or CSUs? Or possibly UVA or William and Mary. Just some schools you can look at.

Are you saying you are a HS JR or a College JR? How many semesters of CC’s do you have? Don’t waste your time looking at UC transfers. Maybe CSU’s. You don’t mind paying OOS tuition?

Your HS performance will likely be overlooked. You should make an appt w/your CC’s transfer counselor – that’s their job to match you with good 4y colleges. They’ll know the pros/cons of many choices for you. I wouldn’t worry much about your GED vs. a normal HS diploma – at this point, it’s moot given your solid CC performance.

Good luck to you
