Does it look better or worse if your only Bs are in high school electives and classes that aren’t as important? For example, this year (junior year), I am pretty sure that I will be getting Bs in my Engineering and Health classes, but As in everything else. Will colleges look at this favorably since I am doing well in the important classes, or unfavorably because it may show that I am lazy or something?

I don’t know…at my school, they make it clear that elective classes were designed to not be very stressful or difficult. Yeah, but a B is a class like health could come off looking bad.

engineering and health are not electives
however spanish was for you.

well, that’s always the impression i got.

I find all of those as electives, engineering, health, and spanish.

Thanks

well, karen, i think colleges will see engineering as an elective, since it is not a core class. i think i got an A in spanish, so that doesnt matter. im not sure how to classify health, but it was ridiculously hard…

^ That’s weird…at my school it was really easy. We watched lots of videos about drugs and STD’s and listened to the guest speakers.

haha yeah it was. I talked to wegz once who told me they send out a sheet with all the grade distributions to colleges so I think you should be fine. They’ll see that only about 3 people managed to get A’s in those classes. 1 in engineering right? god i’m happy i took civil.

On a side note, how’d you manage an A in english? she must love you for not making her life difficult or something.

Rofl, that’s exactly what we did.

^^ Yeah, in my health class, too. Plus a few projects. Wasn’t always easy, though; we were listening to a lecture about childbirth complications and I nearly fainted.

I’m going to adopt my kids. I’m going to adopt my kids. I’m going to adopt my kids. I’m going to adopt my kids. I’m going to adopt my kids. I’m going to adopt my kids… :(

;) But seriously. Actually, things like health, PE and vocational classes (all required) are some of the easiest courses, whereas foreign languages (elective) are challenging.

actually 3 in engineering (varesh, phil, jones)

but thats awesome if they actually send out the distribution

nevermind, i got a B in english -.-

i hate dasilva
