High School Freshman- 3.42 (unweighted) 3.79 (weighted)

Hello, I had a question about college admissions. I was looking at several schools, and if I stayed this course throughout my high school career (grade-point average wise as well as continuing taking honors and advanced placement courses) what would be my chances at the following schools?

  • University of Southern California
  • Old Dominion University
  • George Washington University
  • Hampton University
  • Howard University
  • Morehouse College
  • Virginia Commonwealth University
  • Morehouse College
  • James Madison University
  • George Mason University

Extracurriculars I plan to participate in: JV/V Soccer (does not plan to get scouted; and planning to start next year due to SARS-COV 9), Debate (planning to start next year- not able to join this year due to SARS-COV 9) Team, The Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (planning to start next year- not able to join this year due to SARS-COV 9)

Classes I’m taking this year include:

  • Experimental Design (Honors Course)
  • 9th Grade English (Honors Course)
  • Biology (Honors Course)
  • Latin 1

If you have any further questions that I did not answer, please let me know.

How do you have a GPA less than two months (I assume) into your Freshman year?

College acceptance projection three years from now, based on “planned” activities and four courses really isn’t a valuable exercise. My recommendation is to focus on schoolwork, earn the best grades your can, take a courseload that rigorously challenges you but still allows for success, and engage in EC’s about which you are passionate and allow for leadership roles, if possible.

See how this goes and start seriously looking at college opportunities in 18-24 months.
