Cumulative GPA- 2.96
Freshmen- 2.67 GPA
Sophomore- 3.5, 3.3- unweighted -1 AP class
Junior- 1st quarter- 3.8 unweighted - 4 AP classes
Would the increase of GPA over time increase my chance of college admission although my cumulative GPA will probably be like 3.1 after my junior year?

It’ll increase your chances, but don’t be thinking like 3.6/3.7 schools. Think more like 3.4ish. Also it depends on how good the rest of your app is.

Yeah, you should try to get your gpa up as much as possible. However, if you SATs are in the range for a particular school, that will help your chances greatly.

Some universities do not include freshman year grades in high school GPA used for admission. That includes the state universities in California (UC and CSU).

Anyone think I can apply to South Dakota State with this kind of GPA?
