high school Honor Code violation

What effect does this have on getting accepted into college? Med-school?

I recommend writing to your colleges and letting them know, providing explicit explanations. This does not mean they’ll be lenient in their judgment, but you should be honest. It would be worse to try to ignore it and have them find out later from someone other than you.

I’ve heard that "no effect on state college application. this will only hurt you if you want to go to an elite private school

if it does, just go to a state school the first year, and then apply to another college the next year. after taking college classes, your highschool record is not considered"

Is that true, and are state colleges only colleges with State in the name, or does that include Florida, UNC, UGA ect.

A lot of privates (and some top publics) have strict honors code policies. You need to inform the schools you applied to of this, and it may very well hurt your chances.

Your chances at med school, however, aern’t remotely affected.

bumpppppppppppppp

You should notify the schools that you applied to.
