Well, okay, I know it’s rigorous… I feel like jerk honestly … I’d just appreciate some opinions

thank you so much and if you’d like any feedback on a thread, I’m happy to help

I’d take Spanish rather than Latin, unless you’re fascinated with the Ancient world (and it IS fascinating - I studied both Latin and Greek - but you’ll quickly see that having reached a fairly strong level in Spanish will come in handy when you do the volunteer rotation and that’s why med schools now “recommend” ie. want applicants who can use a foreign language spoken by immigrants, from Spanish to French Creole to Korean to Arabic to Urdu…)

Already in Latin - I love it!! It’s tricky, but it’ll give me a better vocabulary and understanding of grammar, which will aid me in learning Spanish (I’m learning conversational Spanish right now, and my sister is fluent - she’s helping me). And my best friend is in German; she’s teaching me.

In college, I want to minor in Arabic. I also already know conversational Punjabi/Urdu (first-gen American!).

Basically, I find language amazing, and I want to learn as many as I humanly can! The coolest feeling in the world is looking at something that would’ve been gibberish to you a few months ago, and understanding it.

You look like you’re in a great place. It’s awesome to see you taking these advanced classes early in your high school career and pursuing a language on your own in addition to Latin–just make sure to stress that in your interviews. Course rigor is strong, but make sure that you are leaving yourself enough time to pursue the ECs that you’re passionate about to both enrich your high school experience and your apps. Best of luck, you sound like you’re in a great place already.
