lool.^^ that was a very confusing statement!..lol

I know a few very very smart people. I won’t say their prodigies but yeah…they’re very very very…and i mean very smart.

lool.^^ that was a very confusing statement!..lol

I know a few very very smart people. I won’t say their prodigies but yeah…they’re very very very…and i mean very smart.

Ahh… Okay. Didn’t think about it I guess.

I forgot about the Alhambra Catholic Invitational Tournament. Best high school basketball tournament in the country. Also held in Maryland. The best teams from across the country come to play in this.

^I don’t think that’s the ‘best’ high school basketball tournament in the country.

How does it’s selection process go. I was just looking over a RISE mag and not sure if i saw any of those schools ranked.

Hmm…not prodigies, exactly, but I do know this one really smart girl who could add, subtract, multiply, and divide up to four-digit positive integers by the time she was four. She could also read and write a thousand Mandarin characters and basic English. :D

^ Oh, I guarantee you it is. And are you talking about the schools I named previously or the schools in the ACIT? Gonzaga, which is in DC, is in the ACIT this year. They also won the WCAC and are nationally ranked. Dematha is one of the winningest high school basketball programs in the country. Mt. St. Joe has players this year that are going to Notre Dame and Pitt.

I also forgot to mention some schools that aren’t in the WCAC, MIAA, or BCL. Chief among these is Montrose Christian located in MD, right outside of DC. This school has produced such stars as Kevin Durant and Greivis Vasquez. They are almost always nationally ranked. Need I go on?

Baltimore and DC are loaded with talent, Perry Jones is from Texas. There are some good teams but it doesn’t compare with MD/DC. Almost every state has a few gems, but MD/DC are full of future pros every year.

My school had the #1 female high school basketball recruit. She was recruited at UConn, accepted, and then dropped out 2 days later. She transferred to the state flagship and already set school records. This girl is famous in my state.

MattNC:
Amen!!! You should know, too. Ty Lawson is from Maryland. He went to Bishop McNamara in Prince George’s County. He grew up about 5 minutes from University of Maryland. That still haunts me to this day. I still don’t see how Gary Williams didn’t get him.

lol!..ok!..ok!..i believe you…no worries…i couldn’t remember the rankings…i’ll get them tomorrow.

To add more debate. There are 3 teams a piece from NY and MD/DC in the ESPN Rise Top 50.
[ESPN Fab 50](<a href=“ESPN - Serving Sports Fans. Anytime. Anywhere.”>ESPN - Serving Sports Fans. Anytime. Anywhere.)

Those are the rankings!

My school is rivals with rice…however, we have dropped due to tranferees.

^ Lol. It’s ok. I’m just trying to make my point. No one ever believes that MD/DC can produce such amazing talent year after year. Just look at any nationally ranked college basketball program. I guarantee at least one player is from MD/DC. If we could just somehow build a wall around the state (with DC, too) Maryland would be national champs every season. And maybe, Georgetown, too.

Every single respectable NCAA coach comes here to recruit. Also, the AAU teams here are spectacular. That’s how so much talent from DC/MD ends up out of state. The AAU teams travel and the top-flight NCAA teams see them and recruit them before they’re even in high school.

What did I say? Gonzaga and DeMatha are both on that list posted by MattNC. They will both be in the ACIT. That WCAC championship game between Gonzaga and DeMatha was truly something special to watch. Two of the best teams in the country going head-to-head for one of the most prestigious conferences in the country. Game went to overtime. Gonzaga eventually won. That’s a HUGE rivalry, too. It’s like Lakers-Celtics of DC high school basketball.

@Baltimoron ? lol i live in Dallas Texas
all the best athletes come from TEXAS especially in football , basketball we are a little more varied, but we have plenty 5 star recruits from all over Ducanville is just a highschool in their on little town but we have Desoto,Highland park, Lancaster and plenty other beast schools. outside of dallas Houston Yates is probably the best HS basketball team in the country lol undefeated look them up , my school kimball lost to them at state last year

and lol Perry Jones was on the cover of RISE by espn , loook him up on youtube

ahahhaa…calm down!..lol…I really do believe you!

I’m sure DC/MD has some great teams/athletes.

My school was in that edition of RISE!..but it was of someone being dunked on! -_-

Lol, I can’t calm down. High school basketball gets my blood pumping, lol!

pierrechn:
You seriously want to debate me on this? Have you not been reading the past 2 pages? Yes, Texas has the best high school FOOTBALL in the country. But no one, and I mean no one, can compare to DC/MD when it comes to high school BASKETBALL.

Drew Brees a product of texas , their kicker also a product of texas lol

but really Perry Jones is goin to the NBA

Ay…watch those words. Baltimoron. lol
