OK, so my D is a junior and is mainly applying to state schools and liberal arts colleges, etc.Her major would be in the performing arts. I have been looking at high school course requirements and most are the standard that her high school requires anyway. However, i just saw that at one school she is required to have 3 sciences and that are also “lab” sciences…I know her Biology and Chemistry are OK for that but what about her class now, she has Earth & Space Science? Is that requirement just to eliminate odd science classes from consideration? If Earth and Space is a problem then we are in a pickle cause she wasn’t planning on taking any more science her sr year. She is not really a candidate for Physics…and doesn’t really need Anatomy since she isn’t going in to a science medical based field.
Call the college directly and ask – that’s the best way to remove any doubt.
As noted, best to contact the college. For recent article on your issue go here: http://wattsupwiththat.com/2015/09/02/agi-77-of-colleges-think-climate-studies-is-a-science-course/
