high school senior

I’m a high school senior and I’m (loosely) considering studying law. In terms of academic studies, does law encompass a lot of history? History is very different from logic, reasoning, etc. because one requires use of skill and critical thinking (with minimal knowledge) while the other requires memorization and lots of knowledge. I read an LSAT prep book and it seemed, so to speak, challenging and interesting. Similarly, one may find interest in studying for the SAT even if they do not like the topics, history, or coursework of reading, writing, or math. History, or at least the kind one learns in high school, is not interesting to me. Critical thinking, the kind utilized in small liberal arts schools and arguments, is.

So, based on these conditions, should I consider law any further? In other words, is the LSAT an accurate depiction of what lawyers do, or is it just to strictly test one’s aptitude as opposed to propensity to coursework?

I already acknowledge that there are tons of other factors in being or studying to become a lawyer.
