A student dropped a course without notation on transcript. But she has already requested the high school to submit the original transcript which listed the dropped course to the colleges. So, the high school will submit an updated transcript to the schools she applies to. If both the orignial and updated transcripts are submitted to colleges before deadline, does the updated transcript work as a replacement of the original transcript during the application review process? Or both transcripts will be reviewed by AO? If both transcripts are reviewed, will the disappearance of the course on updated transcript be red flags during the application process? Thanks.
Assuming she hasn’t listed the dropped course on the application, there’s no issue
Thanks for the prompt comment!
So, do you mean that the updated transcript will replace the original transcript during the application review process? She will not list the dropped course anywhere on her application except the course is listed on the original transcript. Thanks.
Also, do different schools treat this situation differently?
The updated transcript will be treated as the most current and the one that will be reviewed.
Am I going to say that every single school will throw away the first transcript? No. But they’re slso not going to cross check to find the differences; they don’t have time for that.
Thank you!
