Hey guys, i am a high school senior hoping to apply EA to Texas A&M engineering. I am hoping to pursue mechanical engineering. Knowing that out of state for A&M is much more difficult than in state, I was hoping for some insight and suggestions for me based on my stats, and whether I actually have a chance of getting in or not.

@engineeringforlife1 Very important to apply early (easily 1,000s+ applied August 1).
Because Engineering is holistic at A&M and you are OOS, important to apply asap!
And on campus housing selection is based on timestamp housing deposit is paidâŠcanât pay deposit until official acceptance has been given.
SAT is good, solid course rigor. If not direct admit, Engineering dept offers several âpathwaysâ-which are considered full admission (can live on campus, pledge a fraternity, have a sports pass). The 2 most popular pathways are a great option-
Engineering at Galveston and TEAB.
All Eng majors enter as General Engineering, then go thru ETAM process.
Two huge, reoccurring themes at TAMU are ânever waitâ, âsnooze you loseâ.
With over 74k students enrolled, EVERYTHING is competitive-admission, housing, parking, class registration, getting a Sports Pass, etc.
Always apply/register/sign-up Day 1.
