We are wrapping up the Fightin’ Aggie Class of 2028 application cycle and it’s time to move on to the Hopeful Class of 2029. The 2028 cycle continued to be competitive for all majors. On this thread, you’ll be able to ask any and all questions to fellow hopeful parents, parents who just went through this process, prior students of diverse decisions/pathways and others like me who just like to give back with support, info, advice etc. So here we go. Assuming Applications open on the 1st of August, get your student ready. Letters of Recs, Transcripts, EC listings, Resumes, Test scores, and essays! It’s never too early to get started on what you can. Don’t wait 'til August to write the essay or ask for references. Also, early bird does get the worm at TAMU. If you are applying to Mays, get your app in early (aug/sep) even if you are auto admit. It will fill up. Engineering early decision has been October 15th. You’ll want to make that deadline.
