Have you and your parents checked affordability of all of the schools on your list?

You have solid grades, excellent test scores and super high rigor. Very competitive everywhere. However, schools with acceptance rates around 10-15 percent or less (you have many) are reaches for everyone…even excellent students.

Likely - GVSU, MSU

Target - Michigan, Wisconsin, UGA, BU (ED)

Reach - Georgetown, UT, BU (RD), NYU, UNC, Cornell, Vanderbilt, UVA, Rice

Congrats on your achievements.

What are your AP test scores so far?

Is your 3.8 unweighted for core courses only? How many B’s in core courses do you have?

If you took French 4, that would strengthen your profile for the reach schools, especially since international relations is of interest.

Is Michigan your top choice (based on your thread title)? Does your HS use Naviance/Scoir and if so how does that look for your GPA/test score combo? I would defer to your HS counselor for Michigan categorization.

Make sure to apply EA to all the schools that offer it.

As stated your rigor etc is great. I also agree about Senior year 4th year French. Write a great essay. How do you make that “mid” recommendation not mid?

Also do you go to one of Michigan public feeders schools?

I have two Bs, and they are both in Math courses (Pre-calc and AP Calc), Michigan is my top school and my High school uses Naviance. Thak you!

My High School usually gets about 15-20 seniors accepted at Michigan each year, Thanks!!

That’s a large amount so probably a feeder. If you know how many apply that is helpful. Your school should be able to tell you. It might be something like 80 with 50% acceptances and only 15-20 accept to Martriculate. The reason I ask is that I have seen some schools and it’s rare with a much higher acceptance to Martriculate margin. Your at the high end for instate. As you know nothing is guaranteed and it’s competitive. Write a really good essay. It matters.

BTW MSU you would get an honors scholarship and other thing’s so I see on your list and most likely an acceptance now with possible merit. Same with Grand Valley. FYI. Many, many really like Grand Valley. Most everything else is a reach for most student’s.
