I’m about to begin taking Calculus III at Columbia through the Visiting High School Student Program. I live in southern Westchester County.

I’ve read through wikicu and I know the city itself very well.

However, I’m wondering what you guys think it will be like for me, a Sophomore in HS, to be taking the Calc III class with everyone else being in college.

In HS, when I took AP Calc BC with seniors, many of them became my friends and I integrated well. In fact, I was sort of a novelty because of my age. Would you expect me to go through a similar social phase or will I just lay low? I’ve been expecting the latter and won’t be like “hi! I’m younger than you” to everyone.

Also, what’s the difference in difficulty going from BC to III at a college?

Thanks
