High Schools in Toronto

@bouders: Thanks for the confidence in the Crescent school as well as the list of neighborhoods. That really helps:)

I suppose it will be difficult to be accepted given that we will be a late applicant ? But I will try for sure.

Please know that I truly appreciate the inputs.

I’m planning to try St.Andrews College, Pickering College and Crescent. All seem to be very impressive. Could you give me a comparison of these schools?

Luckily 2 of these schools have rolling admissions, so that surely helps.

I’d appreciate any thoughts, experiences or concerns I should be aware of about these schools.

Thanks again.

Crescent is much closer to downtown and is accessible by TTC. The other two are not accessible by TTC. Two of my children went through the teenage years and early adulthood in that area and in downtown Toronto. They didn’t need drivers licenses as long as they lived there.

If you live close to St. Andrew’s or Pickering, your commute to downtown will be over an hour each way, possibly 2+ hours each way if there’s winter weather. If you live within the boundaries of Toronto, you’ll have more options for getting downtown. Real estate along the Yonge line is prized.

Most of my first hand info is from visiting the campuses for standardized test scoring, soccer matches etc. Both Crescent and St. Andrew’s have gorgeous campuses. I’ve never visited Pickering College and don’t have any info on that one.
