Does anyone know what the highest class is that you can be placed in based on the math, English, and Spanish foreign language placement tests?

Math - I suppose if you’ve AP’d out of Calc BC (the highest math AP they offer right?) you could place into Calc 3. From placement tests alone - not sure - maybe place out of precalc? this depends on what youve taken in school, i believe. English - unless you AP out of writing, you have to take expos 101. foreign language - ive heard of people placing as high as native speaker for this one, not sure how much you can skip.

for only taking placement tests and not getting any ap credit:

math: calculus (there are different courses for different types of students)

english: expos 101

language: I’d say advanced _______ would be the best. the native speaker classes are not for amazing kids at languages. they are for native speakers, hence the name.

you can test into the level of native speaker if you’re proficient enough, regardless of if you actually are a native speaker. i know several people who have done so.

that’s strange. thanks for the clarification.

Actually, the native speaker Spanish classes are not the highest level at which one can place. I’m a second-year Spanish major, and I placed at 940:215/325, which is Intro to Hisp. Literature and Advanced Grammar & Composition. The highest one can place at is 940:325/331. The 330s are the literature classes after 215 (331, 332, 333, 334, 335, 336). If you AP out of classes, you will get credit for 940:203 for the AP Language test and 940:215 for the AP Literature test.
