Highest Sat score at my high school question?

Well I live in Texas and my school isn’t really big on the SAT, but I did get a 2180 on my first and only SAT attempt. If no one in my high school class (607 students) got within 80 points of my score, then does that significantly increase my chances of getting into a school like Rice or possibly even Cornell if one of my teachers or my counselor can verify that in a recommendation? Does it help how my score will be viewed at all? Please help with my question so I can know whether to ask for it to be in my recommendation.

It could by your letters of rec and I (kinda but not really) wish I went to your school.

I’ve heard a lot of people say that you should keep your GPA and scores out of your essays and letters of rec because they’re easily seen on your transcript. Also, each applicant is considered individually, so I don’t think you would gain a significant bonus from having the highest score in your school. However, if your school was really poor and in the slums or something, that might help you out a bit.
