Some surgeons used to use clear nail polish. I have no idea, but one told me it was cleaner than raw nails. At any rate, I didn’t see Carson’s nails. Other things blinded me.
Jeb! had a great suit with wonderful fabric but his tie was crooked. Huckabee had a lavender tie that he said was from the Trump collection.

I LOVE that cobalt blue boucle’ jacket and beads that she had recently! I think that is a great look and I like hte plain rounded collar. It is similar to that emerald kind of tweed one.
Here is the jacket - not the best “action” shot but it’s one that I could find. I guess this will lay some of the botox questions to rest, though.

Saintfan, they’e great jackets. But do you know when the pics were taken? Cuz when i looked at a bunch of images, there are some where her face is smoother- not an extreme change, but that nap. Just curious.
The blue jacket in the first link looks awesome and accentuates her eyes. I’m am not a fan of pink or orange on her.
The blue ones were just this past week - the puffy eye ones. The green was several weeks ago. They are all recent.
OK, more searching nets October 28th as the day of the blue jacket.
This is from 2011 in the scrunchie days, but another great blue suit and i like the soft blouse.

Agree @BunsenBurner - the pinks and oranges are stark and have to be just perfect to look good IMO. These blues and greens really bring our her eyes and looks professional yet soft an approachable at the same time. Here I am noticing the jackets because I really like them but most people probably just take in the whole impression and see her rather than the jacket (in contrast to that yellow jacket from the last campaign). I am still not a fan of the super electric blue, though.
She is “doing” (as Stacy London would say) a lot of that car coat length which I think works well, particularly for both speaking at a lectern and moving around on campaign stops. It just eliminates a whole category of things to worry about.
The scrunchy was from Secretary of State days in that period where she grew her hair out. She was on the road so much that it was easier than getting blown dry and perfect every day. It was a utilitarian look. For official events I think she did that ‘flip’ do which looked fine.

Now you’ve got me headed down the scrunchie rabbit hole! So . . . after thorough study I’ve decided that she should have done the pony tail consistently at the nape of the neck (at times it is too high) and used a clip rather than scrunchie. If done right the look is not bad, but when it’s off it’s off.

At any rate . . . something that I’ve come to realize myself that women of a certain age usually don’t look as “rested” with their hair pulled back starkly off their face. A good and well maintained haircut makes all the difference.
That beaded scrunchie isn’t horrible, but the little-girl satiny-looking ones are. Clip definitely is better.
