Hillary's Potemkin Village Imploding (New York Times commentary)

I think I read 20-30% mailed in early, but not sure. Having canvassed in a congressional district that was won by Obama, however, I can tell you that there was a lot of genuine commitment to Hillary. So I sure don’t discount that she still has a pretty fervent following.

That’s what I said to someone at a brunch recently: Find out who I am supporting and then pick the other one, because my (presidential) candidate ALWAYS loses! (Well, except for Carter and yes, Clinton!)

If Obama wins, I doubt he’d tap Billary for running mates. Can you imagine Bill as the Vice-pres First Gentleman?

kluge, I’ve been waiting that information about California absentee ballots myself. I’ve googled to no avail.

I’m beginning to think politicians have some kind of shelf life. Hilary has been around awhile and so the situation we have now is partly a function of her work . . . Obama is new and we can anticipate what good things he might produce. . .You just can’t make yourself new again past a certain point.

More and more commentators think that Obama is the winning choice for the Democrats, and that the Democratic Party superdelegates will soon rally behind him.
